๐ฌ US-Zionist aggression against Iran threatens regional, global peace: Minister
Sadegh sent a video message from the site of the bombed B1 bridge in Karaj, the capital of Alborz Province in Iran, to the 13th Meeting of Ministers of Transport of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Friday.
โ
The Israeli and US terrorist armies imposed a war of aggression on Iran on February 28 by assassinating the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and massacring nearly 170 students and staff members in a school in Minab, southern Iran. In response, the Iranian military started to hit the Israeli regime and the interests of the United States in the region.
โ
During the US-Israeli attack on the B1 bridge in Karaj, at least eight citizens, including residents and passing travelers, were martyred, and 95 others were injured.
โ
She condemned US-Israeli attacks on Iran, calling them a violation of human rights and a threat to global peace, and urged the international community to condemn such actions and express solidarity with independent nations.
โ
Describing Iranโs strategic position at the crossroads of North-South and East-West corridors, the minister detailed the countryโs extensive infrastructure, including 16 ports, 15,000 kilometers of railways, and 250,000 kilometers of roads, which enable the annual transit of over 700 million tons of goods.
โ
Sadegh called the development of Chabahar Port and its rail connection to the national network a milestone for SCO member statesโ access to international waters.
โ
The official also emphasized digital transformation in logistics through smart technologies and declared Iranโs readiness for deeper cooperation with SCO member states to exchange knowledge and find innovative solutions.

๐ The Banality of Evil: Parallels Between General Dan Caine and Adolf Eichmann
When Pete Hegseth was questioned before the Senate about the dismissal of several generals and found himself under pressure, the only trump card he seemed to haveโone he repeatedly invoked in an effort to persuade the senatorsโwas General Dan Caineโs support for this war.
โ
From the moment General Dan Caine accepted to act in this war under Trumpโs orders, and in light of the crimes carried out under his command, I was reminded of the figure portrayed in Eichmann in Jerusalem by Hannah Arendt: an educated, disciplined, dutiful, courteous, and ethical individualโyet at the same time a cold-blooded criminal. In that book, Arendt argues that people would rather be defeated by a monster than by an ordinary person, because in the former case they feel less complicit. Tragically, however, evil does not arise from the inherently malicious nature of individuals, but from the labyrinth of modern bureaucracy, where ordinary peopleโby clinging to obedience as a means of professional and social advancementโcommit the gravest crimes without giving the slightest thought to their meaning or their horrific consequences.
โ
This well-groomed, disciplined general, committed to principles and military honor, behaved in this war in much the same way Eichmann did in carrying out his crimes with precision and efficiency. The day Dan Caine regains his conscience, he will look into the mirror and ask himself why he commanded this war with all the atrocities committed within it: the killing of schoolchildren in Shajareh Tayyebeh of Minab, the drowning of unarmed sailors aboard the Dena corvette on a non-combat voyage, the widespread bombing of civilian areas, the killing of thousands of innocent women, men, and children who had no connection to the war, the bombing of hospitals, bridges, factories, water treatment facilities, and many other civilian installations that held no military value. What kind of record did these actions create for such a โdistinguishedโ general?
โ
In that critical and fateful moment, he will ask himself: was committing all these crimes truly worth it? I am again reminded of Hannah Arendtโs words that Eichmann was not a monster. Nor was he a particularly unique or exceptional figure. Rather, he was an ordinary man who believed he was simply performing his duties well. Eichmann can exist in any role or positionโindeed, often as someone highly disciplined and dutifulโyet, with the same sincerity and apparent integrity, deeply immersed in committing crimes. This is precisely what is meant by the banality of evilโjust as in what General Dan Caine has done.

๐ Iranโs Parliament speaker sees financial war as frontline against US
Writing on his account on X early Saturday, Parliament speaker referred to recent statements by the US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent regarding the activation of certain currencyโswap arrangements aimed at preventing what US officials described as irregular liquidation of American assets.

โ
He added that, under worsening market conditions, the ability of some investors to sell such assets could become further limited. He also issued a cautionary message to bond holders, saying the situation reflects broader concerns about market stability.
