President Masoud Pezeshkian’s message to the Iranian nation on the 40th day of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution:

The Iranian nation has changed the equation of power over the past forty days.

Coinciding with the 40th day of the martyrdom of the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with a group of armed forces commanders, state officials, and the dear people of our country, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a strategic message elaborating on the dimensions of the Iranian nation’s epic defense against recent aggressions.

The unified resistance of the history-making Iranian nation, the valor of the brave men of the Armed Forces, and the unceasing service of the government have culminated in a great victory: the acceptance of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s conditions for a ceasefire.

Navigating these arduous circumstances and achieving this global honor and prestige are the fruits of a profound lesson taught to us over decades by our martyred Supreme Leader. Imposing the will of the Iranian nation upon the enemy to secure a ceasefire is the direct result of the people’s enduring presence on the scene and their magnificent support.

When vital infrastructure is targeted, and when universities, schools, and scientific and medical centers are damaged, it becomes clear that the true target of this war is Iran itself.

What was imposed upon us was not merely a limited military conflict. Today, we stand at a juncture where we must rely, more than ever, on our love for our homeland, our love for Iran, our love for this land, our love for our faith, and our love for our historic grandeur and national honor.

Iran is not a testing ground for the baseless illusions and destructive plots of others. The destiny of Iran will be decided by the Iranian people themselves, through rationality, steadfastness, honor, and their own historic resolve.

In recent days, we have not only faced fire and aggression; we have also been confronted with the lies, the selling of illusions, and the deceit of Iran’s ill-wishers. There are those who, from afar, prescribe destruction for this country; yet, it must be stated loud and clear that they have profoundly misunderstood the reality of Iran.

The aggressors sought “peace through strength,” but we, in the light of a valiant and unparalleled defense, are pursuing the consolidation of national power through peace.

We seek no war with the nations of the region. We have always advocated for coexistence, mutual respect, and a just peace. It is a peace that, while safeguarding the independence and dignity of nations, leads to collective development and progress.

My own life and reputation pale in comparison to the survival of Iran, the dignity of its people, the security of this land, and the pride of this nation. What truly matters is that Iran endures, and that its people stand tall.

When the world’s most powerful military and the most ruthless regime failed to overcome Iran, it becomes clear that the future belongs to a stable, enduring, and proud Iran. By the grace and blessing of God, the government, standing shoulder to shoulder with the people, will build a new era for Iran.

🔻 VP condoles martyrdom of head of Strategic Council

📌 Tehran, IRNA – First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref has issued a message of condolence over the martyrdom of the head of Iran’s Strategic Council of Foreign Relations, Kamal Kharrazi, in the US-Israeli attacks against Iran.

In a condolence message on Friday, Aref described Kharrazi as a dignified, ethical, and morally principled personality, possessing rare scientific depth and cultural richness with a precise understanding of power dynamics.

He said that targeting this symbol of dignified diplomacy is clear evidence of the enemies’ fear of the Islamic System’s intelligent articulation of its strategies and the independent voice of the Iranian nation in the world.

Aref also extended condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Kharrazi’s family, the scientific and diplomatic community, as well as the Iranian people, praying for elevated ranks for the deceased diplomat.

Kharrazi, who was previously injured in a US-Israeli airstrike, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced martyred.

On April 1, during bombings in Tehran, Kharrazi’s residence was deliberately struck by American-Israeli aircraft, which resulted in the martyrdom of his wife.

The US and Israeli terrorist regimes launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.

In retaliation, Iranian Armed Forces launched attacks on American and Israeli positions in the region, demonstrating their capability to strike back effectively. Despite initial expectations by the attackers of a swift victory, the Iranian response proved significantly more potent, inflicting heavy damage on US and Israeli military resources while rallying the nation’s unity and resistance.

While the US president had issued an ultimatum, Pakistani mediation facilitated an agreement for a two-week ceasefire during which negotiations would take place in Islamabad. Iran has proposed a ten-point plan as the foundation for discussions, seeking terms such as the withdrawal of US forces from the region, lifting sanctions, and establishing control over the Strait of Hormuz.

The Supreme National Security Council of Iran emphasized on April 8 that the aggression led to a historic victory for Iran, compelling the US to accept negotiation terms, including a plan for guaranteed non-aggression and the cessation of hostilities.

📄 Multifaceted personality of Martyr Kharrazi

📌 Tehran, IRNA – The name “Kamal Kharrazi” in Iran’s political memory is more than anything intertwined with diplomacy and foreign policy; but his record shows that we are dealing with a multifaceted personality who has played an effective and long-lasting role in both politics and science and technology.

Kharrazi, who was the first chief executive officer (CEO) of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and the head of the War Propaganda Council, by the decree of the late Imam Khomeini, during the eight-year Sacred Defense against Iraq, was among the figures who were part of at the highest executive levels of the country. By assuming the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was present at the forefront of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for 8 years and then, as the head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, by the decree of Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, he played a role as one of the major designers and analysts of the country’s foreign policy.

His presence in the international arena, including as Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations, demonstrated his deep understanding of complex global equations and the power of interaction at high diplomatic levels.

Kharrazi was from a generation of politicians who fathomed diplomacy not at the level of ceremonial relations, but in its strategic depth. He was well aware that in today’s world, power is not defined only in the battlefield, but also through “narrative-building ability” and “persuasion power”. Therefore, during his years of responsibility, he tried to depict the Islamic Republic of Iran as an independent, rational actor with political logic for the world.

In a period when the region and the world were facing intense crises, Kharrazi, relying on a precise understanding of international equations, tried to balance principles and realities; neither to fall into the trap of minimization nor to succumb to passivity. This quality made him one of the most distinctive figures of contemporary Iranian diplomats.

Another outstanding quality of his was “meaningful silence” alongside “thoughtful utterance”. Kharrazi was not one of those politicians who took a hasty stance with every news wave; rather, he spoke when his words could carry a strategic message. This trait had given him a special place among the political and diplomatic elite.

In the domestic arena, his presence in institutions such as the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations and the Expediency Council, by the decree of the martyred leader, signified his continued role in the macro-level governance and policy-making; where experience, rationality, and a long-term perspective are more important than anything else.

Kharazzi’s martyrdom should be considered not only the loss of an individual but also the demise of an “intellectual and strategic capital” — one that requires years of experience, study, and growth in the context of complex global developments to form.

However, what distinguishes Kharrazi from most of his contemporaries is his deep and forward-looking attention to the field of cognitive sciences — a field that is known today as one of the foundations of soft power and modern governance. He was one of the pioneers of the development of this knowledge in Iran and played an important role in its expansion.

His scientific and executive record includes the establishment and support of institutions such as the Institute for Cognitive Science Studies, among others. Also, as the first secretary of the Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Coucil, . . .

💬 Pezeshkian, Erdogan discuss US-Israeli aggression, seek ‘definitive end’ to war

📌 Tehran, IRNA – President Masoud Pezeshkian and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have discussed the latest situation arising from the military aggression of the US and Israeli regimes against Iran, exploring potential solutions for achieving a definitive end to the war.

During a telephone conversation late on Thursday, Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation for the efforts of a number of friendly neighboring countries in attempting to halt military aggression against Iran. He particularly acknowledged Turkiye’s stance in condemning the unjust aggression by the US and Israeli regime against Iran, as well as the significant solidarity shown by the Turkish people with the Iranian nation.

The president emphasized that despite the betrayal of diplomacy by the US and its aggression against Iran during the previous two rounds of negotiations, the Islamic Republic of Iran has responsibly accepted the requests from neighboring and friendly countries to cease hostilities and establish a ceasefire.

He stressed the necessity of ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, asserting that the Israeli regime’s actions are aimed at inciting further unrest in the region. Pezeshkian also called for Islamic countries to unite against the war-mongering practices of the Israeli regime, which threaten the stability and peace of the region.

He also pointed out the importance of pressuring the international community and Islamic countries on the US and the Israeli regime to stop their aggressions and crimes against countries in the region, particularly Lebanon.

For his part, Erdogan expressed his wishes for success, dignity, and honor for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei and for the Iranian administration and people, extending condolences for the martyrdom of several Iranian citizens and wishing a swift recovery for the injured. He reaffirmed Turkiye’s solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the cessation of hostilities, emphasizing Turkiye’s readiness to collaborate with friendly countries in the region to continue efforts for a definitive end to the war and the establishment of sustainable security.
