🌍 Iran urges creation of int’l compensation fund for victims of sanctions
Speaking at the Second International Conference on Unilateral Coercive Measures (UCMs), in Geneva on Thursday, Bahreini condemned unilateral sanctions measure of some countries, calling it a tool of pressure and destabilization.
He stressed the need for practical measures by the world body to create a compensation mechanism, emphasizing that such a framework must obligate sanction‑imposing states to pay reparations to affected countries.
Bahreini also highlighted the importance of developing independent banking systems, expanding the use of national currencies, and strengthening regional economic cooperation to safeguard critical infrastructure from sanctions‑related disruptions.
Describing unilateral sanctions as facilitators of aggression and instruments to weaken states ahead of potential hostile actions, he termed them as “economic terrorism” and the first step in an inhumane strategy.
The senior diplomat noted that Iran’s resilience, through domestic capabilities and scientific advances, has undermined the logic of sanctions, insecurity, and war.
Bahreini further criticized humanitarian exemptions as legal theatrics, arguing that fear of secondary sanctions renders them ineffective.
The conference, attended by representatives from Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, China, Zimbabwe, Russia, Eritrea, Brazil, legal experts, UN rapporteurs, and NGOs, examined the human, legal, and political impacts of unilateral sanctions.
Several delegations called for binding legal tools to determine accountability not only for sanctioning states but also for financial institutions that enforce such measures. Participants also voiced concern over the growing resort to military force when sanctions fail to achieve political objectives.

🌍 Ceasefire in US-Israeli war a major victory for Iran and Resistance Axis: Al-Houthi
Al-Houthi made the remarks on Thursday, hailing the Iranian Armed Forces and regional resistance groups, including Lebanon's Hezbollah for giving a crushing response to aggressors.
He said Hezbollah's performance was very effective, and the speed of its operations and the level of its endurance took the enemies by surprise.
The Ansarullah leader also emphasized the role of Islamic resistance groups in Iraq, saying that their equation of unity became evident from the very first moment of aggression against Iran.
The Yemeni front also participated in joint operations with the axis by carrying out missile and drone attacks against the Israeli enemy, and preventing the Israeli and American enemy from using the Red Sea militarily in hostile operations against Iran, he added.
Referring to the US-Israeli attacks, al-Houthi stated that implementing a dangerous Zionist plan to target the entire Islamic nation was among the goals of the enemies in their aggression against Iran.
According to him, the resilience of Iran was a tremendous endurance at the level of leadership, but the most significant achievement in the critical phase of confrontation was the unity between the fields and fronts of the axis of resistance, with Hezbollah at the forefront.
He congratulated Iranian Armed Forces for striking the Israeli enemy and American bases, in an unprecedented way, emphasizing that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz was one of Iran's most important strategic positions to exert pressure on the United States and its allies.
Iran's victory and the victory of the Resistance Axis restored the credibility of the deterrence equation for the entire Islamic ummah, he added.

🎙 Iran criticizes UN inaction on US-Israeli aggression
Gharibabadi, in the meeting with Jean Arnault on Thursday, described the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Criticizing the UN for not condemning the aggression, not making efforts to stop it, and not holding the aggressors accountable, he said the unprovoked war on Iran killed and wounded thousands of innocent people.
He said that the destruction of residential homes, hospitals, schools, historical and cultural sites, and critical infrastructure were clear examples of crimes against humanity and war crimes but the US and Israel took pride in their crimes, including the slaughter of children.
The deputy foreign minister, also criticized Persian Gulf countries for allowing to the US to use their territory, including military bases, in the attacks on Iran, calling them complicit in this aggression.
Gharibabadi, referring to the defeat of the enemies and the resistance and steadfastness of Iranians in this imposed war, said the Islamic Republic is completely opposed to any temporary settlement of the situation that repeats the cycle of negotiations, war, and ceasefire.
The UN official, for his part, stated that the ultimate goal of the United Nations currently is to achieve a sustainable agreement and settlement that encompasses all aspects of the crisis.
Arnault, in his capacity as the special representative of the UN Secretary-General, emphasized addressing the roots of the crisis in West Asia.

💬 Ceasefire in US-Israeli war based on Iran's proposed terms: Pezeshkian
Pezeshkian issued a message outlining the dimensions of Iran’s defensive response to aggressors on the occasion of the 40th day of national commemorations for the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, military personnel and civilians.
Pezeshkian said the 40 days of enemy assaults resulted in the loss of innocent lives and damage to infrastructure, but praised the firmness and resistance of the Iranian people, as well as the actions of the armed forces, and continued public services by the government.
Stating that the war ended with a ceasefire accepted under Iran's terms, the President described the achievement as the assertion of the Iranian nation’s will over its adversary, and a continuation of lessons taught over decades by the martyred Leader of the Revolution.
Pezeshkian also said that the Islamic Republic was not the initiator of the war, rather it was imposed on it by hegemon powers, arguing Iran historically seeks peaceful coexistence and dialogue, while defending its independence and security whenever necessary.
Hailing the national unity and cohesion in recent weeks and months, Pezeshkian noted that the people from all walks of life, different ethnicity, belief, and political backgrounds stood together during the crisis.
He also referred to uninterrupted government services, including healthcare, supply of essential goods, and fuel distribution, throughout the aggression.
The President added that diplomatic contacts with neighboring countries, regional states, and European actors were maintained to help manage the crisis and present Iran’s position internationally.
He said the ceasefire decision was taken with consensus among key state institutions and aimed at protecting national interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Pezeshkian concluded his message by calling for continued unity and efforts toward stability, reconstruction, and development, expressing confidence that Iran would overcome the challenges and move toward a stronger future.

🎙 Leader: Iranian people are ‘definite victors’ in the battlefield
He made the remarks on Thursday night in a message issued on the occasion of the 40th day since the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran imposed by the Israeli and US terrorist regimes. The message also incuded important points related to the Third Imposed War.
Ayatollah Hosseini Khamenei said that the Third Imposed War opened a new chapter of the country’s strength and that the name of the Islamic Iran is now on the rise, adding that it is clearly seen that Iran is becoming “a big power” and the Arrogance is declinig, which is “a divine blessing.”
Appreciating the people for pouring into the streets for 40 consecutive nights to support of the Iranian military forces, he urged the people to continue with that because the million-strong presence is one of the pillars of the power and is among the effective elements of the negotiations.
“For 40 days and nights, the companions and Ummah of the Leader, Martyr Khamenei, have been descending like the balls of fire on the heads of the Pharaohs.”
Addressing Iran’s southern neighbors, he said, “You are witnessing a miracle,” and urged them to observe closely, understand the matters more clearly, stand on the right side, and distrust the promises of the devils.
“We are still waiting for an appropriate response from you, our southern neighbors, so that we may demonstrate our britherhood and goodwill to you. This will not be realized unless you renounce the Arrogant Powers, who miss no opportunity to humiliate and exploit you.”
Regarding the criminals that attacked Iran, he said that Tehran will certainly demand full reparations for all the damage casued, as well as blood money for the martyrs and compensation for the war’s wounded.
He also said that Iran will definitely take the management of the Strait of Hormuz to a new phase.
“We have never sought war and do not seek war; yet we will in no way relinquish oue legitimate rights,” he said, adding that in this issue, Iran considered the entire Resistance Front as a unified entity.

🌍 Araghchi: Iran ready if US wishes to crater its economy by letting Netanyahu ‘kill diplomacy’
In a post on his X account on Thursday, Araghchi said, “Netanyahu’s criminal trial resumes on Sun. A region-wide ceasefire, including in Lebanon, would hasten his jailing.”
He added, “If the U S. wishes to crater its economy by letting Netanyahu kill diplomacy, that would ultimately be its choice. We think that would be dumb, but we are prepared for it.”
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians, on February 28.
In retaliation, Iranian Armed Forces launched attacks on American and Israeli positions in the region, demonstrating their capability to strike back effectively. Despite initial expectations by the attackers of a swift victory, the Iranian response proved significantly more effective, inflicting heavy damage on US and Israeli military resources while rallying the nation’s unity and resistance.
While the US president had issued an ultimatum, Pakistani mediation facilitated an agreement for a two-week ceasefire during which negotiations would take place in Islamabad. Iran has proposed a ten-point plan for discussions, seeking terms such as the withdrawal of US forces from the region, lifting sanctions, and establishing control over the Strait of Hormuz.
The Supreme National Security Council of Iran emphasized on April 8 that the war led to a historic victory for Iran, compelling the US to accept negotiation terms, including a plan for guaranteed non-aggression and the cessation of hostilities.

🖥 Iran condemns Costa Rica’s baseless accusations against IRGC
In her remarks on Thursday, Ershadi said that the Costa Rican government’s decision, which appears to have been taken under the influence and pressure of the genocidal, occupying Zionist regime and the United States, runs counter to international law and diplomatic norms, warning it could set a “dangerous precedent” in inter-state relations and entail international responsibility for Costa Rica.
She added that such a move amounts to “appeasement of lawlessness” and complicity in actions carried out by the US and Israeli regime, particularly as Iran faces ongoing military attacks.
Ershadi stressed that the IRGC is acting in defense of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
She added that the campaign by the US and the Israeli regime to force countries into labeling Iranian Armed Forces will not affect the will of the guardians of the homeland to defend Iran’s security.
In an unwise move on Thursday and in total disregard of the United Nations Charter, Costa Rica designated the IRGC, which is a part of the national defense forces of Iran, as a terrorist entity.

President Masoud Pezeshkian’s message to the Iranian nation on the 40th day of the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution:
The Iranian nation has changed the equation of power over the past forty days.
Coinciding with the 40th day of the martyrdom of the wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with a group of armed forces commanders, state officials, and the dear people of our country, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a strategic message elaborating on the dimensions of the Iranian nation’s epic defense against recent aggressions.
The unified resistance of the history-making Iranian nation, the valor of the brave men of the Armed Forces, and the unceasing service of the government have culminated in a great victory: the acceptance of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s conditions for a ceasefire.
Navigating these arduous circumstances and achieving this global honor and prestige are the fruits of a profound lesson taught to us over decades by our martyred Supreme Leader. Imposing the will of the Iranian nation upon the enemy to secure a ceasefire is the direct result of the people’s enduring presence on the scene and their magnificent support.
When vital infrastructure is targeted, and when universities, schools, and scientific and medical centers are damaged, it becomes clear that the true target of this war is Iran itself.
What was imposed upon us was not merely a limited military conflict. Today, we stand at a juncture where we must rely, more than ever, on our love for our homeland, our love for Iran, our love for this land, our love for our faith, and our love for our historic grandeur and national honor.
Iran is not a testing ground for the baseless illusions and destructive plots of others. The destiny of Iran will be decided by the Iranian people themselves, through rationality, steadfastness, honor, and their own historic resolve.
In recent days, we have not only faced fire and aggression; we have also been confronted with the lies, the selling of illusions, and the deceit of Iran’s ill-wishers. There are those who, from afar, prescribe destruction for this country; yet, it must be stated loud and clear that they have profoundly misunderstood the reality of Iran.
The aggressors sought “peace through strength,” but we, in the light of a valiant and unparalleled defense, are pursuing the consolidation of national power through peace.
We seek no war with the nations of the region. We have always advocated for coexistence, mutual respect, and a just peace. It is a peace that, while safeguarding the independence and dignity of nations, leads to collective development and progress.
My own life and reputation pale in comparison to the survival of Iran, the dignity of its people, the security of this land, and the pride of this nation. What truly matters is that Iran endures, and that its people stand tall.
When the world’s most powerful military and the most ruthless regime failed to overcome Iran, it becomes clear that the future belongs to a stable, enduring, and proud Iran. By the grace and blessing of God, the government, standing shoulder to shoulder with the people, will build a new era for Iran.
