๐ŸŽ™ Iranian culture minister condemns attack on Tehran Synagogue

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance strongly condemned the attack on a Jewish synagogue in Tehran, saying, "The enemies have targeted Iranโ€™s civilizational heritage, but Iran will remain, and they will depart."

In a post on his X page on Tuesday, Seyed Abbas Salehi described the destruction of the Jewish synagogue building in central Tehran as โ€œbitter and deeply heartbreaking."  He further said: "The American-Zionist warmongers have targeted religious temples and Iran's civilizational heritage; for them, there is no difference between Muslims, Christians, and Jews."
โ€‹
Additionally, Mohammad Reza Aref, Iranโ€™s First Vice President, reacted to the attack on the synagogue in Tehran and a church in Isfahan, writing in a post on X: "For centuries, Iran has been a safe haven for the sound of Christian bells and the prayers of Jews."
โ€‹
"The violation of the Tehran synagogue and the Isfahan church is not an attack on a single religion, but an attack on the heart of 'Iran' and our heritage of tolerance. I am certain that the blood bond between the ethnicities and religions of this land cannot be severed by such cowardly crimes," the first vice president said. 1723**4353

๐Ÿ’ฌ Iran will stand against foreign aggression as long as needed: Government spox

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani says Iran has stood against the US-Israeli aggression for 39 days and will continue to resist as long as necessary.

Speaking during her weekly press briefing Tuesday which was held at the Laser and Plasma Research Institute of Tehranโ€™s Shahid Beheshti University, which has recently come under attack, Mohajerani said, โ€œOur defensive forces are strong as we have managed to stand against the biggest army of the world.โ€
โ€‹
She said that the enemy thought it could bring Iran to its knees within three days while it is now 39 days that Iran is forcefully resisting and will continue to do so as long as needed.
โ€‹
The spokesperson appreciated the efforts made by rescue and relief teams of Iran Red Crescent Society, emergency personnel and other volunteer forces who have been helping the national resistance during the past weeks. She also thanked those working in the countryโ€™s oil, electricity and water-related industries who have prevented long outages and ensured the supply of energy throughout the country.
โ€‹
Mohajerani said that the enemy targets โ€œour bridges and universitiesโ€ as they are the symbols of Iranโ€™s power and strength.
โ€‹
Noting that some 218 medical centers have so far been targeted, she said that these centers are where the peopleโ€™s trust is made and therefore the enemy has targeted the peopleโ€™s trust.

๐Ÿ”Š Jewish MP slams attack on Tehran Synagogue, says Zionists abide by no religion

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ The representative of the Jewish community in the Iranian parliament, while condemning the Israeli attack on an Iranian Jewish synagogue, described the brutal act as a sign of the regime's lack of adherence to any religion.

"The Zionist regime should know that the Iranian Jewish community will never retreat from its anti-Zionist positions and will continue to remain obedient to the Supreme Leader and will support the Islamic Republic of Iran," Homayoun Sameh Yeh Najafabadi told IRNA on Tuesday.
โ€‹
"Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, the Jewish community of Iran has always condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime, and this very issue has caused this criminal regime to hate the Jewish community of Iran. The Zionist criminal regime has used the opportunity of the current war to take its revenge on the Iranian Jewish community."
โ€‹
Regarding the timing of the attack, he stated: "This event occurred during the Jewish holiday of Passover. While the community was observing these holidays, this action reflects the underlying stance and opposition of the regime toward religious practices."

๐ŸŒ Sharif University professor teaches from ruins of office destroyed in US-Israeli strike

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€” Despite his office being destroyed in a recent American-Zionist attack, the Director of the IT Center and mathematics professor at Tehranโ€™s Sharif University of Technology held his โ€˜Randomized Algorithmsโ€™ class online on Tuesday.

Alireza Zarei, while attending his damaged office at Sharif University, said: "Despite the enemy's attacks on the university yesterday, I proudly announce that I am here in my office at the Information and Communication Technology Centerโ€”the beating heart of research and education at this universityโ€”and am currently conducting my class."
โ€‹
Referring to the assault on the university, Zarei added: "We might look at this simply as the destruction of a building, but the reality is that such a crime could only originate from a sick, 'Stone Age' mind; those who call themselves human but, in reality, know nothing of humanity."
โ€‹
The American-Zionist enemy has targeted several educational institutions in Tehran, including Iran University of Science and Technology, Shahid Beheshti University, and Sharif University of Technology.

๐ŸŒ Iran hits US bases and interests in Persian Gulf and Hormuz Strait

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Iran says it has launched a new wave of retaliatory attacks against US bases and interests in the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the 99th wave of Operation True Promise 4 also targeted Israeli command centers in the Palestinian occupied territories by means of ballistic and cruise missiles and combat drones.
โ€‹
The operation was a response to recent US-Israeli attacks against Iranian petrochemical facilities in Asaluyeh, according to the announcement.
โ€‹
It said that the IRGC attacks targeted a US-owned petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia and some other critical US assets in the Arab country. The announcement added that a container ship belonging to Israel which was going to use a UAE port for the land transport of military equipment into the occupied territories was also precisely hit by Iranian missile, sending a warning to other vessels aiming to cooperate with the US and Israel.
โ€‹
The IRGC said it has also targeted a US naval fleet in the Indian Ocean using long-range cruise missiles, warning that if the โ€œUS terrorist Armyโ€ passes redlines, Iranโ€™s response will go beyond the region.
โ€‹
โ€œWe have not been and will not be the initiator of attacks on civilian targets but we will not hesitate to respond to cowardly aggressions,โ€ the IRGC stressed.
โ€‹
The announcement warned to โ€œdeprive the US and its allies of the oil and gas in this region for yearsโ€. Noting that Iran has had concerns in choosing its targets in the region exercising restraint based on the principle of good neighborliness, the IRGC said that there are no such concerns anymore in place in this regard.

๐Ÿ”Š Exclusive | Two French nationals leave Iran in extradition of prisoners

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Two French nationals imprisoned in Iran on spying charges have been released based on a prisoner exchange arrangement between the two countries.

Jacques Paris and Cรฉcile Kohler, who were imprisoned in Iran for being involved in espionage in favor of the French intelligence agency and collaboration in criminal acts against Iranian security, were released in exchange for the release of an Iranian national in France and withdrawing a complaint against Iran in the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
โ€‹
Mahdieh Esfandiari, an Iranian national imprisoned in France, has also been released and can return to Iran whenever she wants. She was sentenced to one year in prison and released in February after time served.
โ€‹
In September, the ICJ said it had dropped a case concerning the detention the two French nationals at Franceโ€™s request.

๐Ÿ“ก Russia and China veto anti-Iran UNSC resolution on Strait of Hormuz

๐Ÿ“Œ New York, IRNA โ€“ Two permanent members of the United Nations Security council โ€“ Russia and China โ€“ vetoed a resolution on the Strait of Hormuz at the council on Tuesday.

The Bahrain-proposed draft resolution failed to be approved. Eleven members of the council voted in favor of it. Two other UNSC members โ€“ Pakistan and Columbia โ€“ abstained.
โ€‹
Bahrain, which along with some other Arab countries, has given access to the United States and Israel to use its territories to carry out attacks against Iran, aimed to achieve its political goals by exploiting its status as the rotatory president of the UN Security Council.
โ€‹
The measure failed despite having full backing from Washington.
โ€‹
Bahrain had proposed the draft resolution on behalf of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council member states โ€“ except for Oman โ€“ and Jordan.
โ€‹
The vote came just hours before a deadline issued by US President Donald Trump for Iran to open the Strati of Hormuz or face attacks on its power plants and bridges will pass.
โ€‹
One-fifth of the worldโ€™s oil typically passes through the strait, and Iranโ€™s restrictions during the US-Israeli aggression has sent global energy prices soaring.
โ€‹
The Bahraini resolution was repeatedly watered down in hopes China and Russia would abstain.
โ€‹
The initial proposal would have authorized countries to use โ€œall necessary meansโ€ โ€” UN wording that would include military action โ€” to open the Strait of Hormuz.

๐ŸŒ ICRC president sounds alarm over threats to Iran nuclear facilities

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€” The President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has expressed deep concern over the escalating conflict in the Middle East, specifically citing threats by the US and the Zionist regime against critical infrastructure, including nuclear facilities in Iran.

The full text of the statement by ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric on the hostilities in the Middle East, released on April 7, is as follows:
โ€‹
Deliberate threats, whether in rhetoric or in action, against essential civilian infrastructure and nuclear facilities must not become the new norm in warfare.
โ€‹
Any war fought without limits is incompatible with the law. It is indefensible, inhumane and devastating for entire populations.
โ€‹
Across the Middle East, our teams are seeing the destruction of infrastructure essential for civilian life. Power plants, water systems, hospitals, roads, bridges, homes, schools, universities have come under fire.
โ€‹
Most alarming are potential threats to nuclear facilities. Any miscalculation can cause irreversible consequences for generations to come.
โ€‹
I urgently call on parties to spare civilians and civilian objects in all military operations. It is their obligation under international humanitarian law.
โ€‹
States must respect and ensure respect for the rules of war in both what they say and what they do. The world cannot succumb to a political culture that prioritizes death over life.

๐Ÿ–ฅ Trump retreats, agrees to two-week Pakistan-proposed ceasefire

๐Ÿ“Œ Washington, IRNA โ€“ US President Donald Trump has once again backed down from his threats and announced that he would agree to a two-week pause in his war of aggression with Iran.

Trump had previously threatened to target Iranian power plants, bridges and other civilian infrastructure, which to many legal experts would amount to a war crime.
โ€‹
Trump wrote on his Truth Social account that he had decided to stop attacks on Iran โ€œbased on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan.โ€
โ€‹
He also said that Iran has agreed to โ€œthe COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz,โ€ adding that this โ€œwill be a double sided CEASEFIRE!โ€
โ€‹
Claiming that the US has reached its military objectives, he noted that Washington has received โ€œa 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate.โ€
โ€‹
The United States and Israel started a war on Iran on February 28 by assassinating Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and targeting a school in the city of Minab, southern Iran, which about 170 students and school staff lost their lives. At the time, indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States were underway with the mediation of some regional countries.
โ€‹
By attacking civilian infrastructure and the people of Iran, the United States and Israel have violated international law, especially international humanitarian law; these attacks constitute a war crime and have also targeted officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran with their overt state terrorism in violation of all international laws.
โ€‹
In defense and within the framework of its right to legitimate defense, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been targeting military and security positions of Israel in various cities of occupied Palestine, as well as bases and deployment centers of US forces in the region, with missile, drone, and air strikes.

๐ŸŒ Araqchi: Iran will halt fire if attacks stop

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi says if attacks against Iran are halted, Iranian Armed Forces will also cease their defensive operations.

He made the remarks in a post on his X account on Thursday.
โ€‹
โ€œOn behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I express gratitude and appreciation for my dear brothers HE Prime Minister of Pakistan Sharif and HE Field Marshal Munir for their tireless efforts to end the war in the region,โ€ Araghchi wrote.
โ€‹
โ€œIn response to the brotherly request of PM Sharif in his tweet, and considering the request by the U.S. for negotiations based on its 15-point proposal as well as announcement by POTUS about acceptance of the general framework of Iranโ€™s 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiations, I hereby declare on behalf of Iranโ€™s Supreme National Security Council:

๐Ÿ“ก Iranโ€™s SNSC: War objectives largely achieved, talks with US planned in Islamabad

๐Ÿ“Œ Tehran, IRNA โ€“ Iranโ€™s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has announced in a statement that almost all of the countryโ€™s war objectives have been achieved, while announcing that negotiations with the United States are expected to take place in Islamabad to finalize the political outcome of the conflict.

The SNSC said early on Wednesday that Iran had continued the war for more than 40 days despite repeated requests by its adversaries to halt hostilities. According to the statement, Iranian authorities rejected several deadlines issued by US President Donald Trump, emphasizing that Tehran would not accept any timetable imposed by its enemies.
โ€‹
The statement said the continuation of military operations was aimed at achieving key objectives, including forcing the enemies into retreat and removing longโ€‘term threats against Iran, and that Iranian forces had pushed their adversaries into a historic impasse.
โ€‹
According to the council, the decision to continue the conflict had the full backing of the Iranian people and would persist as long as necessary to secure major strategic gains and new regional security arrangements.
โ€‹
However, the statement added that, following guidance from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei and approval by the Supreme National Security Council, the Islamic Republic has agreed to negotiations aimed at finalizing the details of a potential settlement.
โ€‹
The talks are expected to be held in Islamabad with Pakistan acting as an intermediary. Iranian officials said the negotiations could last up to 15 days, during which Tehran seeks to translate battlefield gains into political agreements.

๐Ÿ“„ Trump reposts FM Araghchiโ€™s X post as Iranโ€™s official statement on ceasefire

๐Ÿ“Œ Washington, IRNA โ€“ US President Donald Trump has reposted an X message by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on his Truth Social account, labeling it โ€œIranโ€™s official statementโ€ on a ceasefire announced between the two countries.

The White House had earlier reposted Trumpโ€™s own statement on the social media platform Truth Social, presenting it as the official position of the US government on Iran. After that, Trump shared on his Truth Social a message posted by Iranโ€™s foreign minister on X, reposting Tehranโ€™s official stance.
โ€‹
The following is Foreign Minister Araghchiโ€™s post on X, which was shared by President Trump as Iranโ€™s official statement after the ceasefire announcement.
โ€‹
โ€œOn behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I express gratitude and appreciation for my dear brothers HE Prime Minister of Pakistan Sharif and HE Field Marshal Munir for their tireless efforts to end the war in the region. In response to the brotherly request of PM Sharif in his tweet, and considering the request by the US for negotiations based on its 15-point proposal as well as announcement by POTUS about acceptance of the general framework of Iran's 10-point proposal as a basis for negotiations, I hereby declare on behalf of Iran's Supreme National Security Council: If attacks against Iran are halted, our Powerful Armed Forces will cease their defensive operations. For a period of two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible via coordination with Iran's Armed Forces and with due consideration of technical limitations.โ€
โ€‹
Trump announced his agreement to the ceasefire in a post on his Truth Social: โ€œBased on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE.โ€
