Accumulated 5425 Mutual Fund units last month.

My first 'personal' goal is to hit 2,00,000 units of this particular portfolio. (And no, goal isn't to buy any random funds with lower NAV just to reach 2L units)

Small small steps 🏃 → Financial Freedom 💸

After Edelweiss, now Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund has filed papers with SEBI for Nifty REITs & Realty Index Fund and ETF.

Multiple AMCs are coming into REITs now. Recently WhiteOak Capital launched a REITs heavy Dividend Yield Fund.

Interesting filing from WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund.

They have filed for a Diversified Equity Small Cap Active Fund of Fund. Means this FoF will invest in other actively managed smallcap funds.

WhiteOak themselves doesn't run any smallcap fund & it seems like they have no intention of launching one anytime soon.

WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund won't launch a smallcap fund but rather going for a Smallcap Fund of Fund, which will invest in other AMC's smallcaps.

It's not too bad, to be honest. Anyway smallcap fund investors keep changing their funds; here they would get an expert doing it for them in a tax-efficient manner.

Anyway, data is very clear - 60-70% smallcap fund AUM will underperform the Nifty Midcap 150 index.

Nifty 50 SIP Return
3Y: 2.5%
4Y: 5.69%
5Y: 6.92%

So technically for last 5 years Nifty 50 has failed to match 5Y FD returns.

Another reason why "asset allocation" is so important for a portfolio.

⚡️ quant Mutual Fund in its monthly note to unitholders:

> In India, lack of AI exposure & over-dependence on high ticket imports such as Oil, Gold has impacted sentiments at
a broader level.
> Profit growth in Q1 FY27 for the Nifty, Nifty Next 50 and Nifty Midcap indices was quite healthy at 14%, 27% and 38%, excluding oil marketing companies.
> Our Predictive Analytics framework showcased its capabilities by preempting sharp movements in Copper and WTI
crude in the recent months, generating outsized returns.
> In 2020, whole world went for ESG, we understood the crowded trade & deployed an anti-ESG thesis in our portfolio, which worked very well. Our Behavioral Analytics is now identifying opportunities in the anti-AI trade.
> We are under-weight manufacturing, increased exposure to IT services.

You have just received your salary.

Don't forget:
⚡️ Save 'minimum' 30-40% of it.
⚡️ Don't leave all of it in Savings account or FD.
⚡️ Invest in yourself first (Courses, Study Materials, gym etc.)
⚡️ Invest in a family health insurance. If sole earner, term insurance too.
⚡️ Invest rest of the savings as per your asset allocation in index funds, gold, bitcoin.

Data on how much will be your SIP return % as per different monthly SIP duration.

The longer your SIP runs, the higher the probability of higher return.
