People often ask me when we will see ELSS Index Funds (for tax saving), as SEBI has already allowed creation of such products.

Problem is - SEBI didn't allow one AMC to provide both ELSS Index & Mutual Fund.

All popular AMCs like HDFC, UTI etc. already have their ELSS Mutual Funds, so they can't really launch it. Hope is if new AMCs coming up like Zerodha (maybe) launches it - but still not anytime soon.

BREAKING (Economic Times): Brazil bans Apple (AAPL).

Brazil's Justice Ministry has fined $2.38 million and has suspended sales of all iPhone models that do not come with a power charger.

Brazil Govt says this is Apple's "deliberate discriminatory practice against consumers". Earlier others have also accused Apple of using "Environmental Excuses" to not provide essential items like charger with their phones & in-turn charge massive fees to sell that same charger to that same customer.

• Delivery is sometimes faster than Flipkart or Amazon.

Huge volume coming into Nifty IT ETFs these days - probably traders are trading the index.

Today top 2 ETFs by volume are
Kotak Nifty IT = 1.5 Cr+ volume
Nippon Indian Nifty IT = 80 lakh+ volume

Traders often use ETFs in sectors that are liquid enough like Nifty IT ETFs, to trade that entire sector.
