' Druids: a Holy Female Sisterhood

Female Druids also known as dryads (Greek) or oak nymphs were oracular priestesses, each with her own personal tree spirit. Dryads were also known as priestesses of Artemis, whose souls dwelt in trees. Dryads could also assume the shapes of serpents and were called Hamadryads or Amadryades. Dryadism and druidism (Scottish) were two phases of the same religion, restricted to a female priesthood in the earlier, matriarchal stage, but later open to male priests as well. Irish churches were originally known by the old druidic name of dairtech, or "oak-house," a sacred grove. The Christian church attacked the Druids for their paganism, and also for their tendency to include sacred women in their ranks.
The "colleges" of druidesses, dryads, and high holy sisterhoods were later assimilated into Christian nuns. One of the three classes of druidesses consisted of secluded sisterhoods, such as the priestesses of Brigit, who lived in convent-like sanctuaries while tending perpetually burning sacred fires. Another less secluded class of druidess consisted of married women who lived at the temple and went home occasionally to visit their husbands. A third class was composed of temple servants who lived with their families.
There is no break between the ancient semi-magical formulae chanted by the Druids and later incantations of the wizard and “wise woman.” '

I am working on 3 books for 2021:
1. An untitled book about my journalism. This will include ALL of my articles from 2012 written for the Intellihub, Occupy dot com, The Anti Media, Truth In Media, The Free Thought Project, The Mind Unleashed, Activist Post, Mint Press News, and The Last American Vagabond. It will also include some of my earliest writing from 2010-2011.
2. A biography of Samuel E. Konkin III, founder of Agorism. I will be talking to his still living friends and family to get the full picture of the man behind this revolutionary idea.
3. My autobiography/story so far about my experiences with drug addiction, depression, suicide, prison, waking up, journalism, and activism.
After these, I will work on my final (for the moment) book which will be a 3 part young adult fiction series that tells the story of The Conscious Resistance. Stoked!

Jan 10, 2021. I am sucking on coconut oil cold from the fridge. I chew it and it relieves the pain in my teeth, in my jaw, in my sinuses, in my head. When it is thin warm liquid, I pull it through my teeth and swish it around my gums for as long as I can before spitting it out. Something like 3 minutes, and then I repeat to strengthen the muscles in my face. Ow.
I write this experience as an experiment —- to see if harm will befall me? To feel what it's like to share this vignette, like other vignettes that got beaten out of me. The world has changed.
Vignettes are growing back, seems like.
"Just repeat ' apocalypse, apocalypse ' and they'll get it." As I move through these experiences... the invisible, emergent, incontrovertible necessity of them... I am letting myself feel something new. Whatever was beaten out —- rugs on a line —- the life is somehow still in it. We are living in bodies, we are floating through the air, we are pulsing soundwaves traveling sacred dark. What violence? Motes, waves, quanta.

How do we reconcile networks of human trafficking that can so easily be dismantled through the courageous collaborations of caring communities?
