Written this morning,

' Hi! We are growing a collaborative media advocacy project with streaming internet radio in support of Azine.

We are looking for creative and sensitive people who want the world to be safer for Azine and others like her.

If you're not sure how you could help, but you feel strongly about related subjects (any subject, or a project you are working on that you would like people to know about), you could *help us help Azine* in lots of little, surprisingly easy ways that may not be obvious immediately.

As a community, we are making it easier for people with money to find us -- people we already know want to help us financially, but who need to see more community activity in order to understand what we're asking them.

So if you are not a person who donates to efforts like this because you don't have dollars available, we would really love to be in community with you.

We are doing powerful things together. Azine is alive and she needs us!

And we really need her.

Please message me (@maxmorris) to get in touch.

Thank you for reading my comment.

The following post was made in a public Facebook group. We'd also like to share it here and in Azine's blog.
' [Please donate if you can, or share if you don't. This is a real request, I personally know some of the people involved with this.]

Brendan writes:

“Update about Azine. She made it to a safer place on the Mediterranean coast, but the situation is complicated and we are in need of donations and more allies to help coordinate. She is staying there alone with severe neurological issues, muscle spasms and breathing problems, usually managing with medication to cook for herself and other tasks that were previously done by a caregiver living with her (like her mom or me), but with severe difficulty and not always being able to eat.

We do have a local friend helping her with shopping and some other things, but he can only do so much and he’s not able to take another job also, so we have to cover his expenses.

I am far away in the US, and working and sending money each day, but it’s not enough and I am far behind on rent and risking losing my place. The other people who have helped, some a very lot including from this page, are all tapped out right now. I want to travel to Azine and help when possible, but flights are very expensive and I’m currently the only one who can consistently send any money.

Azine’s mom is very worried about her and wants to come, but she is dealing with terrible injustice in the Netherlands that culminated in her and Azine’s rented house being illegally taken and social service agencies harassing her, while being the only stable caregiver for her elderly and very ill parents and Azine. We are working on coordinating legal help and writing up what happened but it all takes time and I am helping coordinate as best as I can remotely.

Meanwhile, Azine needs to find another place to stay soon because the accessible weekly rental apartment she’s in will become very expensive over summer tourist season, and the air quality isn’t as good as it could be further away from the city.

And she is suffering with her long history of wrist injuries causing what appears to be osteoarthritis of thumb and wrist in dominant hand. This was worsened due train station police throwing her suitcases at her in Zaragoza, hurting her. And having to do so many things beyond her capacity every day.

We are looking to find a service and companion dog to help with some things as well.

As an example of what she’s dealing with, a few days ago, she had a seizure while cooking and water was spilled on her laptop, and it broke. We found a replacement but it is too heavy and hurts her to use, so we are searching and seeking funds for a replacement.

I know all this is a lot to digest. I am happy to answer any questions.

In short, we need to raise money both immediately and find people who could give a little over time.

Thank you for reading!" '
