Women in DC in December 2025

This month's highlights: Of 46 total books, 14 star women. Of those 14, three have all-male creative teams. Of the remaining 11, three have women on both writing and art (in one case, one woman is doing both jobs). Two books not starring women have female creatives. There are seven female artists and eight female writers this month.

Female-led books with all-male creative teams: 3

Batgirl #14 (W Tate Brombal, A Stephen Segovia)
Harley Quinn #57 (W Elliott Kalan, A Carlos Olivares & Terry Dodson)
Wonder Woman #28 (W Tom King, A Daniel Sampere)

Female-led books with a woman on writing or art: 8

Absolute Wonder Woman #15 (W Kelly Thompson)
Birds of Prey #28 (W Kelly Thompson) (final issue)
Catwoman #82 (W Torunn Grønbekk)
Cheetah & Cheshire Rob the Justice League #5 of 6 (A Nicola Scott)
DC K.O.: Wonder Woman vs. Lobo #1 of 1 (W Joëlle Jones)
Gotham Academy: First Year #3 of 6 (co-W Becky Cloonan)
Poison Ivy #39 (W G. Willow Wilson)
Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #6 of 6 (A Belén Ortega)

Female-led books with women on writing and art: 3

DC K.O.: Harley Quinn vs. Zatanna #1 of 1 (W Leah Williams, A Mirka Andolfo)
Harley & Ivy: Life and Crimes #2 (W&A Erica Henderson)
Supergirl #8 (W Sophie Campbell, A Haining)

Non-female-led books (including team books) with women on the creative team: 2

Action Comics #1093 (A Skylar Patridge)
Immortal Legend Batman #5 of 6 (co-A Erica D’Urso)

Notes:  I didn't count anthologies, facsimiles/reprints, collections, or full-on kids' books like Teen Titans Go! or the Sonic crossover, just single issues, and I'm not counting colorists, letterers, or variant cover artists, just writers and artists (no disrespect to colorists and letterers, it's just a lot more people to research who tend to have less online presence and often aren't in the solicits).
Nonbinary artist Hayden Sherman returns to Absolute Wonder Woman #15 and is drawing Superman #33 (aka DC KO round 7 of 8).
I want to note that Rachel Dodson is inking Harley Quinn #57. It’s legacy issue #200, so they’ve brought back Harley’s original artists, the Dodsons. (Terry Dodson is listed as penciller and colorist, while Olivares is just listed as artist; it sounds like there may be two separate stories, both written by Kalan but with different art teams.)
u/RASZMANSVB (thank you again!) let me know that Dynamite Comics is currently publishing Harley Quinn x Elvira, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and drawn by Amanda Conner. #3 is out in December, and it's solicited through at least #5. It doesn't seem to be published by DC, which is why I missed it and why it's not in the stats, but I did want to talk about it.
