There are only two weeks to go until the competition starts! From the 1st to the 30th and during the 10th anniversary of Ingress, we'll engage in a friendly competition among agents to find out who will be the best in one of 20 statistics!

Niantic has once again sponsored codes to give to the best players in each of the 20 choosen stats. These will be tracked by using the Agent Stats website and app.

For this competition, we will be using a website and app called Agent Stats to keep track of everyone's statistics. If you have never heard of it or haven't created an account yet, we have created a How-To that you can read through! This event is meant as a friendly competition among agents from both factions. Measures will be taken to ensure a fair competition. On the topic of duplicated drones

We know that the duplicated drone is a bug that agents cannot control and which seems to happen randomly. However, if agents knowingly use the duplicated drone to increase their Maverick statistic, we will see this as cheating and disqualify the agent from the competition.

If you currently have a duplicated drone, please open a support ticket through the Ingress Scanner (Settings -> Help Center -> Go -> Chat symbol on the top right). If you play in English, you can choose Gameplay Help -> Drone Issue from the menu. Should the support reply to you and suggest to reinstall Ingress, reply that this doesn't work and that the drone needs to be removed manually from the inventory so that the ticket gets escalated.

Should you get a duplicated drone during the competition, be fair and stop trying to play for the Maverick statistic until it is removed. Open a support ticket as explained above and contact @IWWC2022_bot so we can note it down. During that time, you can of course still play towards the other 19 statistics.

When should I upload my statistics?

Your score is calculated from your first and last upload in November, starting at 00:01. The first upload serves as your baseline from which we'll calculate the differences to your last upload.

All points you gain on your statistics before your first upload do not count! Try to upload your score as soon as you can, starting on November 1st local time. The best time for your first upload would therefore be right at 00:01 on the 1st. This is of course not mandatory, but counting cannot start until you upload your baseline.

Note: The first minute of November (00:00, midnight) doesn't count. Wait the minute until 00:01 before you start uploading!

The last upload, in turn, should be made as late as possible, with the best time being 11:59pm local time on November 30th. This ensures that you have the maximum amount of time to play. Any uploads later than that (aka in December) will not count anymore. As with the first upload, it is not mandatory to upload your last statistics that late, however if you upload these earlier and then continue playing, the points you gain after the upload are not counted anymore.

How often do I need to upload my statistics?

You need to upload your statistics at least twice. The first upload will count as the baseline, while the second will count as your final statistics. However, you can upload as much as you want during November. Doing so will place you on the leaderboard, allowing you to track how you are doing and if you need to increase playing to keep your lead.

After the first upload, which establishes your baseline, your latest upload will count towards scoring. There is therefore no penalty to uploading your statistics as much as possible.

The first clock strikes November 1st!

Agents in New Zealand are now in November, which means that the 2022 Ingress World Wide Stat Competition is now officially underway! If you are in New Zealand, you can now upload your first statistics via Agent Stats as your baseline.

If you are not in New Zealand, you'll still have to wait until November 1st 00:01 of your own local time. For Example, most of Europe still has to wait 12 hours, with the US East Coast having to wait about 17 hours.

The competition starts on November 1st 00:01 local time! Some agents in Asia are already gathering points, Europe and the Americas still have to wait a few hours before uploading for the first time.

It's November 1st for the vast majority of agents now, and a lot of people are uploading their statistics.

To help you find out if you're on track for a top 10 position, we have created a website that shows the leaderboard for each category. The website is updated each hour.

Message to the admins

If you want to send a message to one of our admins, you can now use the @IWWC2022_bot bot to do that! Sending a message to this bot will notify all of the admins, and they will reply to you as soon as possible.

Please note that going forward, this is the only way you can report someone if you suspect them of cheating or if you think that their stats don't look right. Do not post their name publicly, neither in our group or channel comments. Such messages will be deleted on sight and the report will not be investigated.

Please also note that we're using a free service for this bot system. Occasionally, users will receive ads from the bot. This is out of our control, so we suggest you to stop and delete the bot once you have received a reply from us. You can always restart the bot if you want to send us another message.

The 10th anniversary event will start in just an hour! It'll come with a few bonuses that will be activated, most notably double AP and 10 minute drone cooldown! This will be the best time to go out and get points for our competition!

Remember: Every AP you get during the event will be even. If you want to reach a certain AP number on the dot, make sure that your AP is even (if you want to reach an even number)or uneven (if you want to reach an uneven number).
