Agents have reported the reappearance of the Nemesis Redux campaigns.

This is the promised "make good" extension which follows the erroneous closure of these campaigns 6 hours earlier than originally planned.

The Campaigns will remain active until June 15th @ 18:00 UTC.

The Ingress FS team has confirmed a few things for the Q3 Ingress First Saturday events:

- As with in Q2, attending an IFS event will award Agents with Tokens for their individual Anomaly medal
- Returning as well are the Season Points for the Agents of a Factions that attend the event. More Agents attending will likely mean more points for the Apollo season for your Faction
- The ITO EN Dispatch Challenge passcodes will not be returning for Q3 as it was an exclusive prize for Q2
--> In general, it is unknown if the Ingress team will make the Campaign available in another way

The Ingress team has released Update 3.10.1 which is currently rolling out to Agents.

Among the fixes is a speculative fix for Portals that could became "stuck" on the game board and could not be deployed on or attacked. These Portals were able to become unstuck in the past by either liking one of its pictures or deploying a Beacon/Firework on it. This fix hopefully removed the cause of the bug so that these Portals can't become stuck in the first place anymore.

Another fix was for the opening animation of the game when the globe was zooming in. For the last few versions your location was shown in the middle of the ocean at the 0.0,0.0 coordinates, this has now been fixed to show your correct location again.

While a few fixes have been included, Agents on iOS have reported that Deeplinks are broken and cannot be opened in the app anymore. This does not seem to affect Android.

About half an hour ago the Ingress team enabled some server settings on accident which (aside from giving you the very short opportunity to Overclock a Portal again) showed a new feature the team is working on: Agent Protips!

As far as we understand, these tips can be shown dynamically depending on the interactions you are currently taking. For example, in the screenshot above, Devra (or Hank if you are Enlightened) will comment on a Portal that is not fully charged and will explain how you can recharge. Other Protips that have been reported were explaining what a Portal Burnout is when hacking a burned out Portal and how to reset it as well as how to best use Ultra Strikes.

As these tips are seemingly very much aimed at new Agents, an option in the settings will be available to turn these tips off.

The Apollo Anomaly Season overview page has been updated to reflect that the "Apollo Rewards" campaign will now be used to award the Anomaly Season medal instead of only being used to grant additional rewards as originally planned.

Before:

An additional Campaign called “Apollo Rewards” will run from 1 July at 0000 UTC to 1 October at 2359 UTC. This Campaign will enable Agents to earn additional item rewards as they gain increasing amounts of Apollo Tokens.

Now:

The Ingress team has released Update 3.11.1!

A bug that snuck itself in last update regarding Deep Links has been fixed and opening them now once again correctly opens the corresponding screen in the Scanner. Another problem in regards to ghost drones was fixed, as well as a speculative fix for the Scanner signing out of Ingress when the app was in the background or closed was added.

Unusually, although the platform is normally the first to get new updates, this update is not yet available on iOS. At the moment it is only rolling out to Agents on Android.

In addition to the above, a small change was made to the settings so that you now explicitly need to enable app notifications before you can choose which types of notifications you want to receive. This only appears if you have disabled notifications for Ingress from your system. Tapping on the button brings you to the app settings of your systems so you can enable notifications.

The strings that are supposed to show the text for this are currently broken.

The newly added Dispatch Campaign that was quietly added to the event schedule a while back now has a name: Moonlit Paths.

Aside from the name, no new concrete information has been revealed.

An Agent that has recently been in contact with Brian got told that, after asking about the navigation bar that has been hidden a while ago on Android due to a policy change, it may return in the near future.

According to Brian, a recent Unity update may have introduced a change that allows the team to reintroduce the 3-button navigation bar. The new Unity update is currently being tested and, if everything works as expected, the navigation bar may return in about a month via a Scanner update.

As a workaround until then, if you can already update to Android 17, you can put Ingress into a so called "Bubble" which keeps the navigation bar active at the bottom of the screen as well.

To further confirm that the Q4 anomalies will not contain the usual XM Anomaly events in certain cities, the current Event Promotion on the Google Play Store once again mention that the Apollo Season contains "the last Anomaly battles of the year" and "this is the last season of the year to host live XM Anomaly events". Instead of these, the Q4 Anomaly season will feature Shard Storms on various dates without any concrete locations being revealed as of yet.

The ingress.plus website and corresponding Mediagress plugin have been updated!

Agents can now not just mark which badges they have obtained but also if they have gotten the Recursion wings for them! In addition, you can now quickly search for a badge by name.

Agent profiles can now be categorized and split into the badge category of the site, and a new CMU calculator was added to help you see what the price of a CMU pack is, how much CMU you get per amount of currency as well as how much an item in the Ingress store costs in "real" money.

The Mediagress IITC plugin which can be used to contribute to the ever expanding databank of Ingress media was updated and can now show how many new unique Media you have uploaded and which of these Media you were the first to discover!
