New Dispatch Campaigns have been revealed for the Orion Season with Orion Tokens, Badges (or wings for them) as well as items on the line!
Three new Redux Dispatch Campaigns will be available from May 1st 18:00 UTC throughout June 1st 18:00 UTC, focusing on three of the old Nemesis Global Challenges:
- Nemesis Redux: Myriad
The focus of this Campaign is not completely clear, but it will reward Orion Tokens, the "Myriad Hack Challenge" medal (or wings for it if you have already gotten Gold in July 2019) as well as various items.
- Nemesis Redux: Courier
This Campaign is seemingly focused on destroying Resonators and will reward the "Courier Meet You Out There Challenge" medal (or wings for it if you have already gotten Gold in August 2021) as well as various items. No Orion Tokens will be available from this Campaign!
- Nemesis Redux: Umbra
This Campaign is seemingly focused on deploying Resonators and will reward, the "Umbra Deploy Challenge" medal (or wings for it if you have already gotten Gold in December 2019) as well as various items. No Orion Tokens will be available from this Campaign!

Orion Global Op
Reports are coming in that points for the Orion Global Op do not currently appear to be increasing, even though the Event is only scheduled to end at 18:00 UTC.

The Orion Global Op end time will be extended by 24 hours, and will now end Tue May 12 18:00 UTC
The operation is scheduled to conclude at 18:00 UTC on 2026-05-11. However, since the event reportedly started two hours earlier than intended, it is possible the system may also have ended progression early by mistake.

Niantic Spatial has released Update 3.9.1 into the App Store and Play Store, currently rolling out to Agents.
The team has added a new "Scanner Upgraded" screen that guides new Agents through the Scanner and noting its features as they level up until Level 8, likely to point out new features they unlock such as the Kinetic Capsule, Mission creation and so on. Additionally, an iOS specific bug was fixed that prevented Agents from buying C.O.R.E. as well as an not mentioned change made that shrunk down the "On the Radar" entries in the Dispatch screen. Also fixed: the notification dot for Dronenet which disappeared in the previous version and the persistence of layers settings after app restarts.
We were also privately notified by Agents of the addition of two new item types in the code: "FACTION_CHANGE" and "CODENAME_EDIT", classified specifically as a Boost item like Apex, Frackers and other Premium items. It stands to reason that the Ingress team is currently working on a way to buy a Faction Change and/or an Agent Name change via the game store, although the exact details of such changes (such as a potential time limit between purchases, Level limit or other restrictions) are not known at the moment.

The Ingress FS team has confirmed a few things for the Q3 Ingress First Saturday events:
- As with in Q2, attending an IFS event will award Agents with Tokens for their individual Anomaly medal
- Returning as well are the Season Points for the Agents of a Factions that attend the event. More Agents attending will likely mean more points for the Apollo season for your Faction
- The ITO EN Dispatch Challenge passcodes will not be returning for Q3 as it was an exclusive prize for Q2
--> In general, it is unknown if the Ingress team will make the Campaign available in another way

The Ingress team has released Update 3.10.1 which is currently rolling out to Agents.
Among the fixes is a speculative fix for Portals that could became "stuck" on the game board and could not be deployed on or attacked. These Portals were able to become unstuck in the past by either liking one of its pictures or deploying a Beacon/Firework on it. This fix hopefully removed the cause of the bug so that these Portals can't become stuck in the first place anymore.
Another fix was for the opening animation of the game when the globe was zooming in. For the last few versions your location was shown in the middle of the ocean at the 0.0,0.0 coordinates, this has now been fixed to show your correct location again.
While a few fixes have been included, Agents on iOS have reported that Deeplinks are broken and cannot be opened in the app anymore. This does not seem to affect Android.

About half an hour ago the Ingress team enabled some server settings on accident which (aside from giving you the very short opportunity to Overclock a Portal again) showed a new feature the team is working on: Agent Protips!
As far as we understand, these tips can be shown dynamically depending on the interactions you are currently taking. For example, in the screenshot above, Devra (or Hank if you are Enlightened) will comment on a Portal that is not fully charged and will explain how you can recharge. Other Protips that have been reported were explaining what a Portal Burnout is when hacking a burned out Portal and how to reset it as well as how to best use Ultra Strikes.
As these tips are seemingly very much aimed at new Agents, an option in the settings will be available to turn these tips off.

A bug that snuck itself in last update regarding Deep Links has been fixed and opening them now once again correctly opens the corresponding screen in the Scanner. Another problem in regards to ghost drones was fixed, as well as a speculative fix for the Scanner signing out of Ingress when the app was in the background or closed was added.
Unusually, although the platform is normally the first to get new updates, this update is not yet available on iOS. At the moment it is only rolling out to Agents on Android.

In addition to the above, a small change was made to the settings so that you now explicitly need to enable app notifications before you can choose which types of notifications you want to receive. This only appears if you have disabled notifications for Ingress from your system. Tapping on the button brings you to the app settings of your systems so you can enable notifications.
The strings that are supposed to show the text for this are currently broken.
