Agents in Japan have asked Niantic to cancel the Shard Skirmish Event in Takamatsu this weekend due to safety concerns of an approaching typhoon. Niantic has not yet officially canceled the event.

A new button labled "HB_MAINMENU_BUTTON_TEXT" was briefly visible earlier today in the Scanner main menu! Tapping on it lead to the "Getting Started" category of the Ingress Support help pages. This button likely will become permanent with a new Ingress update, but for now, it has disappeared again.

Speaking of, some of the pages in the "Getting Started" section have recently been updated with tips such as holding down the attack button for a damage boost or the first official mention of Machina in the help center.
