While we currently don't have the exact details of the entire Global Campaign that is available for free to everyone, we do know that it consists of 7 Assignments and that the list below are the rewards for completing each Assignment. Each Bounty itself still has an additional rewards too.

Finally, this was only the first wave of NL-1331 Portals! If your community hasn't had the luck of a Van Portal visiting, don't worry, you can continue to post your community pictures and a Portal Link with the hashtag #NL1331 on Social Media for more chances to summon NL-1331 to you!

To attract an NL-1331 Portal to your local area, your community must make its presence known. Agents are invited to post on X, Instagram, Bluesky, or the Ingress subreddit using the hashtags #Ingress and #NL1331. Each post must include a photo representing your local Agent community alongside a recognizable Portal, as well as a direct link to that Portal (for example https://link.ingress.com/portal/e64e4c42a60842b0803d188c8575d2cb.11).

With the news posted by Niantic Spatial now, an interesting tidbit was included:

The Bounty Pass will be available until the completion of the Operation Polaris event.

We assume this means the Free 1 Day Pass and not the entire feature itself.

Some additional information:

- The Bounty Pass will count for the current day only and will end at Midnight. It does not last 24 hours, so you cannot get it late in the day and get two days worth of extra Bounties.
- Contrary to Premium Campaigns, actions taken without purchasing a Bounty Pass will not advance the locked Bounties. They will only start counting once you have actually unlocked them.
- You will only get the daily AP rewards for completing 2 or 4 Bounties once. It doesn't matter if those Bounties are the free or the Pass ones, but you'll not get additional AP for completing 6 or 8 Bounties.

The "Pentacore" medal is now being distributed to Agents that have subscribed for 5 years!

Agents have noticed that the "Ingress Valentine's 2022" badge that was able to be purchased 4 years ago is now showing as locked in your profile if you have already received it, as well as showing a single tier requirement of "5".

Similar issues were noted with the 5 badges that are part of the Redux Campaign prior to its reveal which allows you to either earn the respective Challenge badges retroactively or earn Recursion wings for them. While this may be something else entirely, it is possible that Agents will be able to either earn the 2022 Valentine's badge itself or wings for it during the Valentines 2026 event which starts next week.

A few things happened during the European night that are noteworthy:

- The team has clarified that upgrading Resonators (both your own and others) will NOT count as a Resonator deployment and will therefore not award you any points for the +Gamma Global Challenge.

- The Valentines 2022 Badge has been fixed and now shows as unlocked again. The tier requirement has been hidden as well.

- A new Premium Campaign has been revealed for the Lunar New Year 2026! Starting on February 13th 17 UTC until February 27th 17 UTC you can work on a Campaign that, after completing 3 out of 4 Bounties, will award you the Lunar New Year 2026 medal.

Niantic Spatial has released Update 3.4.1 which is currently slowly rolling out to Agents!

This update expands a feature that was added a short while back. Instead of just seeing when the last earned tier was acquired you can now see the date for each separate tier! Badges with only one tier continue to show their unlock date under the badge image.

⚠ Note that these dates are shown even when your profile stats are hidden and your profile is set to private (see image above from a profile with hidden stats).

This update also fixes the bug with Portal Submissions and the issue with the text fields during the submission process. You should now be able to submit new Portals again without any issues.

Some new details about the Valentines 2026 event have been revealed on the Intel map!

A new Valentines 2026 medal will be available as part of a new Premium Campaign, which requires you to complete 4 out of 5 Bounties to claim the medal. As spotted two days ago, a new Redux Campaign is also indeed part of the event, allowing Agents to complete 5 Bounties to either earn the Valentines 2022 medal for the first time or to earn Wings for it if they already own it!

Both Campaigns run from February 10th 17UTC to February 27th 17UTC. As the Valentines 2026 event was only scheduled until the 20th, we assume that means that the Campaigns can only be bought until the 20th but can be completed until the 27th.

✍️ CHARACTER LIMIT BUG

Agents who have already downloaded the latest Ingress update have reported a bug where you are limited on the amount of characters in a description. This has been 512 characters for many years but has now been reduced to 250 characters.

You can amend the description and add more characters in Recon, however Recon access is still limited to L16 and Recursed Agents, meaning those who are not at that level cannot amend their nomination.

Beyond the cold nights and long walks between Portals, a new frequency is emerging. 💓 Starting Feb 10, the NIA invites you to celebrate the bonds forged through XM.

Whether you're chasing the new Valentine's 2026 Medal or earning your Recursion Wings on the Valentine's 2022 medal, it's time to prepare.

No IFS 2× AP Event in February

Niantic has confirmed that there will be no IFS 2× AP event in February. This is not a bug or technical issue, but an intentional decision.

Since the start of today, Agents have been reporting that Daily Bounties are currently not working as intended, with many indicating that the Research Milestones are marked as completed but only some bounties can be redeemed, the rest of the page remaining unresponsive.

No update on the matter has been released as of now. We forecast that the issue will be solved as Monday rolls in in the Americas.
