The move to Niantic Spatial continues! The Support chat has now been given over to Niantic Spatial and has replaced the prior support flow. At the moment this also means that there aren't categories you can choose from for your support ticket, instead you can just seemingly simply write your question or report.

Agents are reporting issues accessing Ingress, specially with the "Network issues" error. This does not affect all Agents, as others can continue to access and play Ingress as normal, the writer of this post included.

We’ve received reports from Agents reporting Ingress login issues and we believe this is likely a Domain Name System (DNS) issue that will resolve itself over time. If you aren’t already using it, you might consider switching to Google Public DNS using the instructions here: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns

If you're on Android and are still affected:

- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced > Private DNS.
- Select Private DNS provider hostname.
- Enter dns.google as the hostname of the DNS provider.
- Click Save.

For iOS:

- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the ⓘ icon next to the Wi-Fi network that you want to change DNS servers for. Scroll down to find the DNS section and tap Configure DNS.
- Tap Manual and add Google IP addresses. Optionally you can also remove all default DNS servers in the list.
--> For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4
--> For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844

As Niantic continues its split into Scopely and Niantic Spatial Agents are reporting further issues. This time, it seems there are problems with C.O.R.E. being renewed: While the subscription is charged and marked as active by the Play Store/App Store, the scanner does not recognize the Agents C.O.R.E. status and removes all benefits.

At the moment, there does not seem to be a workaround for this issue. Affected Agents are encouraged to open a support ticket via https://ingress.com/support, and we will keep you updated with any new information.

Niantic is aware on the issue and is working on a fix regarding the C.O.R.E. subscription not being applied to your account even though the payment went through.

A possible reason for this issue is that Ingress was recently moved from the "Niantic Inc" developer account to the "Niantic Spatial Inc" account, which may have confused the Scanner.

Rewards for the Wayfarer Challenge are arriving! Check your emails and your spam folder!

If you haven't received your codes yet, be patient and give it a day, as these mails have been sent in waves in the past.

Make sure to redeem your codes until May 31st, after that they will become invalid. If you have done 400 or more reviews for the OPR Live badge tick, you need to redeem your codes as it is granted when you redeem them and not from a Niantic push.

Some people are reporting that canceling your subscription via the App Store/Play Store and then resubscribing via the Scanner will fix this issue. Until it is fixed otherwise we encourage you to try it out, you will not be charged double if your subscription is already active.

On May 2nd, Agent Virkon, from Sweden, was laid to rest: she left us far too soon on March 24th, 2025.

Virkon was a dedicated player, had been with us since the game started. She loved spending time with her family, with gardening being her biggest passion. She was a much-appreciated colleague and beloved friend, leaving a husband and two children behind.
Her closest friends on Ingress tied a wreath of the most beautiful memories with her, knowing that, in their hearts, they will never fade.

Our most heartfelt condolences go out to Virkon's friends and family.
