To celebrate Father's Day, Niantic unveiled the new Nigel Moyer - Father’s Day 2026 Badge, obtainable by completing the homonymous Premium Campaign from June 12th @ 18:00 UTC through June 22nd @ 18:00 UTC.

The campaign will cost 15.000 CMU and will feature additional gear among the rewards.

🔑During the timeframe of the Campaign, Portal Keys will be guaranteed to drop from all successful hacks!

Finally, the Susanna Moyer 2015 Badge will be released from the Archives, and will be available for purchase in-game. Susanna Moyer physical merchandise will also be available on the Ingress Store.

A world first, double Onyx in the GORUCK challenges!

A historic milestone has been reached in the Ingress community!
We received reports that Agent @pirouk🔸🇯🇵 and Agent @Himav🔸🇮🇹 should be respectively #1 and #2 in the world to hold both the GORUCK Urban Ops and GORUCK Stealth Ops medals at the Onyx level!

The Japanese Resistance agent achieved his second Onyx in March 2026, while Himav reached it last week during the Orion Anomaly in Kure!

Reaching Onyx in just one of these medals is already a rare feat: it requires participating 20 times in some of the most physically and mentally demanding events Ingress has to offer.

While talking to both Agents about this post, their passion for this kind of events immediately came through: with this post they would like to share the huge amount of fun they have during these experiences, and how tightly knit the rucking community of Ingress is. Both Factions are ready to welcome all newcomers who would like to try these events out!
We are incredibly proud to have Agents of this caliber representing our community!

🇨🇳 Foshan Mission Day 2026 Recap

Agent @alexiendo kindly sent us their recap video from Mission Day Foshan, China!

Over the weekend, Agents from many cities gathered for Ingress First Saturday, the Mission Day Before Party, and a full day of missions across the city. Through 24 missions, Agents could explore what is known as a “modern thousand-year-old city”: from ancestral halls, old streets and local temples, to riverside skylines, public parks, modern landmarks and rain-washed night views.

Organizers estimate that 603 Agents joined Foshan Mission Day. By 23:59 on June 7, 123 Agents had also completed the full 24-mission challenge and made it onto the commemorative completion list.

On this fun weekend, Agents walked through the rain, exchanged BIOCARDs, collected stamps, shared faction flags, helped each other at the venue, and brought life to every corner of the event space. We also had some very special “STAFF members” on duty, who may have stolen more attention than anyone expected.

From the organizers, a huge thank you to all visiting Agents, local Agents, volunteers, photographers, staff members, and everyone who supported Foshan Mission Day 2026. This event could not have happened without your trust, patience, energy and enthusiasm.

⚠️ Agents participating in Lima and Geneva Orion Anomalies have reported receiving the emails confirming what was already announced by POCs in Anomaly-related communication channels.

GORUCK cancelled their events at these locations due to low participation.

Exactly like for Prague, Sydney and Jersey City before, registered participants are being advised that a full refund will be issued to the payment method selected for purchase.

As far as we know, Geneva is working towards organizing "NORUCK" events for the Orion Anomaly weekend. More info is available through your Faction's Anomaly Organizers.

Niantic has released additional details about the upcoming Apollo Season!

As announced earlier, the Apollo Season Medal will feature 3 Tiers, unlockable with Apollo Tokens.

Tokens will be obtainable during these events:
🔸 Daily Bounties from July 1st to September 18th: 10 Tokens per Bounty and 10 Tokens per Research Milestone
🔸IFS Events: 2500 Tokens per event attended
🔸Dispatch Operations, 3 this season, all free: 2500 Tokens by completing each.
🔸Apollo Global Campaign: 10000 Tokens upon completion
🔸Apollo Anomaly Campaign: 5000 Tokens upon completion

Season Points, valid to declare the winner of the Apollo Season, will be obtainable in the following ways:
🔸IFS Events: 0.1 point per participant, up to a cap of 750 points
🔸Apollo Global Op: 2000 Season Points
🔸Anomaly Events: 300 Season Points per site

Apollo Anomaly Rules have been published!

Nothing has changed from the rules of the Orion Series except Volatile Battle Beacons, which are now worth 5x points instead of 3x.

➕ Each Anomaly site will still be worth 300 points, distributed as follows:
- Battle Beacons: 100 Season Points
- Flash Shards: 100 Season Points
- Anomaly Uniques: 80 Season Points
- GORUCK Urban and Stealth Ops: 10 Season Points each

⚠️ Agents are reporting that GORUCK Events in Helsinki, Finland and Bogotá, Colombia have been cancelled.

We have received this report from Agents who signed up for these events, initially scheduled for July 17th-19th, and have confirmed that the prior links for purchasing tickets for said events are now inaccessible. Note that the GORUCK events for the rest of the Apollo Anomaly series are seemingly still scheduled as normal, as you can still purchase tickets for them. Going by the recent amount of cancellations due to low participation, if you want GORUCK events to happen for Apollo in Seoul, Paris, Singapore or Denver, CO, we encourage you to find and recruit Agents that want to participate and get them to sign up!

As for previously cancelled events, a full refund can be expected if you signed up for this event. GORUCK has not sent out an official email yet, but you can expect one in the coming days.
