Last night, in some countries, clocks were rolled back by one hour after Daylight Saving Time ceased to be in effect.
This brought some issues in-game, with Agents reporting not being able to redeem their daily bounties any longer.
If you are affected by this, some Agents report that a full reboot of the app or a resync may be beneficial, but this appears to resolve the issue only for a small percentage of players.
Update 28/10: Niantic published a message on their Telegram channel apologizing for the inconvenience. The team reports that they have identified all affected players and will be credited with 60 +Beta Tokens.

🚨 Niantic announced the return of Operation Portal Recon and the Seer medal!
The new platform for reviewing Portal nominations and edits will be opened to Agents on November 10th at 18:00 UTC!
It will be a phased rollout starting with Level 16 Agents and Recursed Agents to ensure that the platform remains stable under load. After some time, Agents at lower levels will also be allowed to access the platform.
Additionally, after almost 10 years, the Seer medal is making its return to the game! Its tiers will be based on the Discovered Portals stat which already counts all Portals that you have submitted and which went live in Ingress, including under the old Seer system. That means that credit for all Portals accepted will be backfilled!
The Seer Points that were already awarded to Agents will be moved to a new stat: Archival Seer Points, for better distinction.
The tiers for this Medal, at the moment, are as follows:

The theme and the design of the #Year13 medal have been "leaked" by Amazon! Following the post from Brian a few days ago hinting at it being themed around stars we now know more about the story:
The medal will be called "Voyager" and its design could be this one, featuring a satellite, very reminiscent of the Voyager spacecrafts!
The name fits the space exploration theme particularly well, immediately calling to mind the twin space probes launched by NASA in 1977.
After completing their mission - aiding in the study of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune - they continued their journey, and both are now traveling through interstellar space, becoming the first human-made objects to enter said region. They are still sending data back to Earth, although faintly fading out of reception range.

Ingress is celebrating their 13th anniversary and is updating to Ingress 3.0!
The in-game designs of the celebratory medals have been unveiled, and they will be awarded to all Agents who scored at least 1 AP from the day of Ingress' 12th anniversary.
Additional information have been revealed for the future of Ingress! As part of the transition to Niantic Spatial, the Scanner will advance to version 3.0 in the next update, featuring the new Niantic Spatial logo when starting and renaming Ingress Prime back to just Ingress. No major additions or changes have been announced for this update.
A new temporary boost will launch later this year, codenamed CARGO, which will temporarily boost a players inventory capacity. More details will be revealed in the future.
Finally, the name for the Q1 2026 Anomaly Season has also been revealed to be +Gamma!

- All past Contributions under Wayfarer and before as well as Contributions after the Wayfarer split are visible on the website
- Wayfarer stats were not carried over, Agents are restarting from zero

Niantic Spatial and the Ingress team have announced a partnership with Paramount Pictures to promote the upcoming film "The Running Man". The event is set to run from November 12th to November 19th.
According to the post, here's what to expect:
- A special media drop will be available globally, which delves into the film's plot

Recent Issues with Daily Bounties
We received numerous reports about the Daily Bounties not ticking up when an action is completed. Pressing the Resync button or restarting the scanner does not seem to help. Some other report that it might take up to an hour before bounties are updated.
According to several Agents, the issue has been ongoing for a while now, and some were not able to complete their dailies in time before midnight, losing out on some +Beta Tokens.
We will update this post as soon as more is found about this issue, or if it gets sorted out.

We have received reports that the amount of +Beta Tokens you recieve after interacting with a high category Battle Beacon is a multitude higher than the stated amount from the Ingress team.
Over 200 Agents in Yokohama and 50 Agents in Osaka came together to deploy and fight over Battle Beacons, but many have reported of receiving more than 10000 +Beta Tokens within a few minutes. This would have required over 300 CAT-VI Battle Beacons interacted with, however the reported amount of deployed Battle Beacons is a lot lower.
The exact cause of this discrepancy isn't apparent yet and it is unknown if the Ingress team has quietly tweaked the Token reward for higher CAT Battle Beacons or if there is another unknown modifier. Let us know your observations from your own Battles!

Additionally, we have also received reports about CMU prices changing in multiple regions globally.
For example, CMU prices in Sri Lanka, Türkiye and the Philippines have been raised, while prices in the Eurozone have been lowered (although they are different between Android and iOS).
If you see any price changes in your region, please also let us know in the comments!

The Year 13 celebrations have ended and all bonuses such as 2x AP should have been reverted!
Niantic Spatial will now start assigning the Year 13 Voyager medal according to your current level as follows:
- Bronze: Level 3
- Silver: Level 9
- Gold: Level 13
- Platinum: Level 15
- Onyx: Level 16/Recursed
This process will take a few hours and it is possible that you may see lower tiers still locked when you get the higher tier Voyager medal. This will automatically fix itself once the rollout is complete for all Agents, so do not panic if you see a wrong tier or if you haven't gotten your medal yet while others did.
Ingress is has now entered its 14th year of operation! We already know that the future will hold a new feature with CARGO as well as the continuation of Anomalies, Mission Days and the expansion of OPR. We look forward to the upcoming journey and are excited about the future!

Did you miss one of the Global Challenges from Q1 2024 through Q1 2025?
Niantic Spatial is experimenting with a new type of event called Global Op Redux! You will be able to attempt up to five Global Ops again and unlock their respective medals.The requirements for these medals are the same as they were for the original Global Op.
Already got Silver during the original Global Op? You'll be able to earn Recursion Wings for your original medal, but only if you have already gained the Silver Tier in the original Global Op. If you haven't Recursed yet, they will be retroactively applied to your original medal if you Recurse in the future.
The following Global Ops will be available to reattempt:
+Alpha (Q1 2025): Free
Erased Memories (Q4 2024): 2,000 CMU
Shared Memories (Q3 2024): 4,000 CMU
Buried Memories (Q2 2024): 7,000 CMU
Cryptic Memories (Q1 2024): 15,000 CMU
The team notes that these Redux Challenges are a personal experience only and are not a faction vs. faction battle like the original Global Ops. Consequently, the results of the Redux Campaigns will not influence past Anomaly Season Points.
Aside from +Alpha, the Erased Global Ops will require CMU to purchase the Redux Campaigns. The team says that the pricing reflects rarity: the farther back the Global Op, the higher the cost.
All Redux Campaigns will be available from Dec 1, 2025, 17:00 UTC. You can purchase the Premium Campaigns up until Feb 2, 2026, 17:00, and all Campaigns must be claimed before Feb 9, 2026, 17:00 UTC, after which they expire.

The Ingress team has revealed the Campaign bounties that need to be completed for the Redux campaigns! Of interest are the Bounties for the Cryptic Memories, Buried Memories and Shared Memories Redux Campaigns as the original Global Ops didn't use Dispatch at that time, so the team has approximated new Bounties from the past requirements.
