In Denpasar, 424 Portals have been highlighted in an area roughly 1.5km by 3.6km wide along the coast. In Cambridge, 528 portals are ornamented in a 2.5km by 2km "oval" playbox in the center of the city.

Niantic has revealed the details of the +Delta Campaign: Field which will run from 30 August at 00:00 local time to 14 September at 23:59 local time!

During the Campaign you will receive 7 Bounties per Assignment, involving earning “+Delta Field Points”, creating Fields, destroying Fields, claiming Kinetic Programs.

Agents who complete all 7 available Bounties will be awarded 1000 +Delta Tokens, valid to improve the level of their +Delta Series Medal! You can also choose to skip up to 2 Bounties per Assignment, which forfeits 100 Tokens each.

+Delta Field Points
There are multiple ways to earn +Delta Field Points by creating and destroying Fields:

🔸Creating a Control Field awards 50 Field Points, multiplied by the number of Agents owning the links (up to 3). This number will then again be multiplied by an "Equilaterality percentage" plus 1.
🔸When owning a Link that is used to create a Field, the same formula as above is applied, but the 50 base points are reduced to 15.
🔸Destroying a field awards 250 Field Points.

Control Field Equilaterality percentage
A percentage from 0% to 100% calculated depending on how equilateral a triangle is. (E.g. A triangle with 3 sides that are the same length will obtain a 100%)

The result of this Campaign will also influence the score of the +Delta Anomaly Season with points distributed as follows:
100 Season Points based on the number of Bounties claimed by each Faction.
200 Season Points based on the total of “+Delta Field Points” scored by each Faction.

The Ingress team has announced an upcoming price increase for Key Lockers in the store.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 00:00 UTC, the price for a single Key Locker will be raised from 3700 CMU to 20.000 CMU (~15€/~$13).

This decision was "not made lightly" and will be implemented to ensure that Ingress will stay sustainable in the long run without resorting to pay-to-win.

If you have already bought Key Lockers there will be no change to them, and the currently existing limit of 6 Key Lockers per account will remain unchanged. Should you not have 6 Key Lockers yet we encourage you to buy the rest of the Key Lockers before the increase in price.

The team recognises that inventory management is "a constant challenge" for many and is exploring more ways to offer inventory expansion features.

The Ingress team has updated a few things about the +Delta Campaign: Field!

The base value for creating a field has been doubled from 50 +Delta Field Points to 100 Points. According to the Ingress team that means that a single, well planned field can earn you up to 780 +Delta Field Points. This change was made to encourage working together with your faction and to bridge the gap between creating and destroying Fields, which is worth 250 points. The team also mentioned that destroying your own factions field does not count and will not earn you any points.

The Bounties for the first assignment have been posted as well:

- Earn 3,000 +Delta Field Points
- Earn 5,000 +Delta Field Points
- Create 12 Control Fields
- Create 20 Control Fields
- Destroy 8 Control Fields
- Destroy 12 Control Fields
- Claim 4 Kinetic Programs

Assuming the same 25% increase of the base value of the initial Assignment, we can speculate the requirements for the restarts as well:

- Earn 3,750/4,500/5,250/6000 +Delta Field Points
- Earn 6,250/7,500/8,750/10,000 +Delta Field Points
- Create 15/18/21/24 Control Fields
- Create 25/30/35/40 Control Fields

The Ingress team is making changes to the daily free items in the store!

The free items will rotate each day to offer a different free item. This rotation will be on the following schedule starting next week:

- Sunday UTC: 1x high-level Resonator

Heads up to all Agents that have used Niantic Supply in the past:

Players are reporting that they are getting hit with spam and phishing emails via the email address they have entered during an order from the Niantic Supply store, seemingly indicating that some sort of data has been leaked to 3rd-party actors. Please be aware, keep an eye out and do not open any links or call any numbers from unknown email addresses.

In the specific example above, the Agent has used an email alias, which means that the specific email was used only for Niantic Supply, and has placed a subscription order during the Ingress X Series Kit releases.

The IITC-CE Mobile app has returned to the Play Store!

On November 1, 2021 Google started to require so called "Scoped Storage" for new App updates amongst other changes, which IITC did not have at that time. Since then, updates to IITC Mobile were only available via F-Droid or the IITC-CE website.

This problem has been fixed and, with version 0.41.0, the App is back and updated on the Play Store!

Niantic has released Update 2.174.1 and with it the Starred Portal Feature was also released!

After updating you will now find a star on each Portal Key in your inventory. Tapping it will mark that Portal as starred and, with a new filter, will be shown at the top of the Key List or the start of the Capsule view, even after you restart your game.

Each Agent has 3 base slots available which can be expanded by Recursing or subscribing to C.O.R.E., with each Recursion adding 5 permanent slots (up to 25) and an active C.O.R.E. subscription adding 25 slots as long as the subscription is active, plus one slot for each month subscribed (up to 25 additional slots).

The Ingress team has just announced a new feature coming in the next update: Drone’s-Eye View (DEV)!

As with the Intel Map, you will be able to pan around the scanner and view areas outside your normal scanner view and tap a portal to view its details. You will also be able to see all Drones from other players that are stationed at Portals.

This feature can also be started using the remote view of Portals and by using Deep Links, meaning this is a great way to check out Anomaly gameplay or other operations from directly within the Scanner!

This new feature will only be available to active C.O.R.E. subscribers.

Niantic Spatial seem to have solved the problem with VPS-activated portals that were impossible to calibrate!

Calibration earlier failed on a majority of portals that were VPS-activated after the split from Wayfarer, while it was possible to continue to calibrate to a Portal that was VPS-activated before the split.

We are now receiving reports from agents that newly VPS-activated portals are possible to calibrate, and the Ingress team has just posted on Bluesky that they have implemented a change that should fix these problems in general. Let us know if you can calibrate to new VPS-Portals again!
