This Serbian city had a turbulent history, which can be seen from the numerous monuments, landmarks, the beautiful fortress and the archaeological sites dating back to Roman times, when it bore the name of Naissus, also known as the birthplace of Roman Emperor Constantine The Great.

Agents will enjoy easily accessible missions in the city centre, phenomenal local cuisine in numerous restaurants and an afterparty on Saturday evening.

And that's not all!

Second Sunday event is happening right after the Mission Day, where everyone can complete several more missions and advance towards the medal.

With an international airport nearby, Niš is less than 2 hours away from Vienna, Stockholm, Basel, Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Memmingen...

Niantic announced the following changes to the Bounties feature in Ingress, based on feedback from Agents.

- The "Complete 1 Mission" Bounty was removed.
- Values for the "Earn X Glyph Points" Bounty were updated. (A reduction from 24 to 16 was observed)

Niantic has announced a small update to the Shard Nights going forward.

In addition to spawning at the end of the event, additional Rare Battle Beacons will now be deployed on Shard Spawn Portals approximately 18 minutes before the Shard is scheduled to jump. Interaction with these Battle Beacons also count towards earning the Cryptic Memories Anomaly medal to ensure that every agent will be able to gain it.

The Battle Beacons themselves will have no influence on the final score of the Shard Night.

Ingress Prime has been updated to 2.136.1! The update is currently slowly rolling out via the App Store and Play Store.

Changes have been made to the animations that play between menus making the scanner feel faster by shortening them. In addition, if there is a news pop-up when you start the scanner, you can now dismiss it by tapping outside of it instead of tapping on the "Close" button.

Specifically mentioned in the changelog for Android is a speculative fix for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra users who saw constant crashes and other issues across their games (not just Ingress) which this update hopefully fixes.

A few days ago, Niantic nominated the new Wayfarer Ambassadors for 2024!

Tintino published the list with the names of the 12 new Ambassadors which will join the 12 colleagues from Cohort 2 in this very important role.

We have Breaaad, CarolFigueiraRS, DLuarca, ElfFromSpace, MegaTrainerRed, PaulingZubat, SerAmanda, Shilfiell, SpiritGold, Trollfarer, WoodWose and xLilPoundcake.

Ambassadors from Cohort 1 consequently end their service and are set to become Wayfarer Alumni: Traxi25, Akceptor, MaestroTino, BrightonDragon, DanielGuco, AgentMAenlight, fr34kz, Quartzleo, Gendgi, Tntnnbltn and tehstone.

We are receiving reports that Facebook is currently down. Due to this, there are currently issues with logging into Ingress using a Facebook account.

If you have already linked a secondary login method, use that method in the meantime to continue playing Ingress. Otherwise, you'll likely have to wait until Facebook recovers.

EDIT: We are also receiving reports that Google has issues as well. No problems with logging into Ingress have been reported yet, although this might change if the issues continue.

The Ingress website got a makeover!

Agents have reported that the ingress.com website has changed its style and is now sporting a very appealing new look!

The home page features the Ingress Prime trailer as well as screenshots from the game and photos from some live events. Additionally, both Factions and their ideals as well as some basics on the game's mechanics are also presented to visitors.

Links to some Ingress merch, the Intel Map and the News section are also present, but we couldn't find any link to the community forums or Ingress' Twitter account.

Agent @DrJest has created a new website which proposes to be a repository for all Ingress Mission Day events and all of the information surrounding them: POC names, Social links, event schedule, directions, accommodation and so on...

This platform is cooperative, meaning that any POC willing to show information about their event on this website will be able to do so with editor access to a fully dedicated webpage at no cost!

Wayfarer has been updated recently to automatically and instantly accept edits to Wayspots that fix small spelling mistakes like capitalization errors as well as accepting certain new pictures. This continues the effort from Niantic to cut down on the waiting times for edits which in some cases can take even longer than new Wayspot submissions in the same area. If you have small edits to make, now is the perfect time!
