The latest Wayfarer Challenge, "Aye Aye Captain", concluded yesterday. This challenge asked Agents to help reduce the backlog initially in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, but later also in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States.
Wayfarers participated in a great number and helped surpass the Tier 4 of community rewards, which was added after players managed to reach Tier 3!
Ingress players who reviewed more than 50 Nominations will receive:
- 30x L8 Resonator
- 30x L8 XMP Burster
- 30x L8 Power Cube
- 8x Rare Shield
- 8x Rare Heat Sink

Niantic released some details on a new global challenge, part of the Cryptic Memories Anomaly Series!
The Cryptic Memories Global Op will take place from January 12th, 17:00 UTC to February 5th, 17:00 UTC.
The medal for this event will have two tiers at the following thresholds:
Bronze: 1.500 points
Silver: 15.000 points
Agents will be able to earn points by performing the following actions:
- Destroying a resonator: 1pt
- Deploying a resonator: 2pts
- Upgrading another Agent's resonator: 2pts
The Faction with the greater number of Agents achieving Bronze or Silver tiers of the medal will earn a point-based advantage in the Cryptic Memory Anomaly Series which runs from January to March.
⚠️ Note: This is a separate medal from the Cryptic Memories Anomaly Medal!
The design for the Cryptic Memories Global Op will be revealed next week.
In addition, Niantic has also announced that the rules for the Cryptic Memories Anomaly will be revealed in two weeks, together with information as to how the point-based advantage will influence the score.

The Dutch Ingress Community is proud to invite all Agents to the second part of their Worldtimepath Mission Day in Holten, The Netherlands!
The event will take place along the Worldtimepath, which is a trail approximately 11 kilometers long. This trail takes hikers through different time periods, starting from the Ice Age and ending in the present day. Along the way, hikers can learn about the history of the area and the changes that have occurred over time. To us, it looks like an interesting and educational experience for those who enjoy hiking and history and for those interested in learning more about the region!
