Akira has already implemented a theoretical paper's concept on harmonic communication in viruses and demonstrates its immediate effects on the red Portals. They express concerns about the long-term impact and adaptation of Machina, likening it to biological viruses.

Tomorrow is the start of Phase 3 of the Ctrl anomaly! Niantic has updated the store with the new Akira Tsubasa 2023 medal and the new Yuri Nagassa 2023 medal.
Both medals cost 30,800 CMU (about 23€) and come with 10 Rare Kinetic Capsules each. Buying one kit would therefore give you enough Kinetic Capsules to complete the Discoverie Kinetic Challenge next month if you don't have enough.

Niantic has acknowledged the issue that prevents devices that don't support the newest Lightship AR from scanning a portal and hanks agents for their reports as they are investigating.

As of 16:38 UTC today, the last Machina portal has decayed. There will be no more Machina spawns or spreads until after the first round of the Discoverie Anomaly next month.
Agents are reporting mixed results when capturing Portals that Machina decayed on, with some reporting that it counts as reclaiming it (+1 on the Machina Portals Reclaimed stat and +1331AP) with others reporting that it doesn't count.

A new Wayfarer Challenge is on its way! During the week of September 27th to October 4th, you will once again be able to receive some rewards by reviewing as many Wayspots as possible. Submissions from selected countries will be reviewed by players worldwide to ensure that submission backlogs are reduced or even completely eliminated!

We recommend that Android-using Agents DO NOT update to this version if they scan portals frequently, until Niantic fixes this issue.
