CMU and C.O.R.E. are getting more expensive!
Blame Apple, which has raised the price tiers developers can set for in-app purchases and subscriptions. The price of CMU packages and C.O.R.E. will increase starting on October 5th for some Agents both on iPhone and Android, as Niantic will be making similar changes on other platforms as well.
Example: As Apple has removed the 5,49€ price tier for IAP, the price of C.O.R.E. will likely be raised to the next highest tier, 5,99€. Niantic can choose to keep already existing subscribers on the old price tier, however.
Countries involved in Apple's fee increment are:

Some Agents are reporting receiving an e-mail from Niantic stating that an issue with past C.O.R.E. subscriptions affected their "Months Subscribed" Agent Stat, their C.O.R.E. loadout or both.
The company reports that the issue has been identified and fixed and that they are in the process of updating the accounts of affected users.

Niantic has given us a timeline for the previously announced experiment on C.O.R.E. Subscription Loadouts. Starting within a week, the 4 Apex it contained will be removed and replaced by 2 Kinetic Capsules, 20 Agent-Level XMP Bursters and 20 Agent-Level Resonators.

In the response, Brian thanks agents for their feedback and explains that they want to tune things and experiment now that the Rare Kinetic Capsule is available, not just in regards to the C.O.R.E. Loadout, but across the game. He mentions that testing such changes in regards to global impact is difficult with a small set of players, and especially if it is a monetized feature. He also thinks that rotating the items in the C.O.R.E. Loadout from time to time may be more useful as opposed to sticking to a single loadout, and would like to hear from agents if there is a specific list of gear they'd like to see.
To recap, Niantic yesterday announced that the 4 Apex in the C.O.R.E. Loadout will be replaced with 2 Rare Kinetic Capsules as well as 20 Agent-Level XMPs and Resonators each. This change has been heavily criticised by the agents in the community, both in the forums and in our Telegram discussion group.

Niantic has read the feedback in the forum and on other platforms and will adjust the new C.O.R.E. Loadout.
Instead of removing all 4 Apex from the loadout, 2 Apex will now remain in the loadout. This means that there will now be 2 Kinetic Capsules and 2 Apex every month, along with the other items.

[Discussion] Experiment Activated - C.O.R.E. Loadout Kit Content Update - Page 6
Hi everyone - The team has spent some time reviewing all of the feedback here and via other channels; after reviewing that feedback and evaluating our experiments, we are going to adjust the Loadout change.
We are receiving reports that agents are being attacked by portals of the same faction.
Normally, when an enemy portal is hacked, it has a chance to attack the agent and remove a lot of XM from the tank.
As attacks from friendly portals have never been seen happen, it is currently unknown if this is an intentional change or, more likely, this is a bug.

Tampa is a multicultural city, rich in vibrant history, heritage and deep family roots.
Home of Cigars, Pirates, Parades, and the Cuban sandwich.
There is so much to enjoy and explore, watch cigar rollers in action or catch a ride on the pirate water taxi. Tampa is a colorful city with lots of art installations, statues and sculptures with lots of photo opportunities.
The local community is looking forward to exploring Downtown, the Riverwalk, & Ybor City with you during their official Mission Day on November 6th, 2022!
We also invite you to participate in the IFS Jacksonville, FL which will be held on the day before, November 5th!
An in-person meetup will be held in Tampa to participate in the Jacksonville IFS virtually, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM local time!

Tampa is a multicultural city, rich in vibrant history, heritage and deep family roots.
Home of Cigars, Pirates, Parades, and the Cuban sandwich.
There is so much to enjoy and explore, watch cigar rollers in action or catch a ride on the pirate water taxi. Tampa is a colorful city with lots of art installations, statues and sculptures with lots of photo opportunities.
The local community is looking forward to exploring Downtown, the Riverwalk, & Ybor City with you during their official Mission Day on November 6th, 2022!
We also invite you to participate in the IFS Jacksonville, FL which will be held on the day before, November 5th!
An in-person meetup will be held in Tampa to participate in the Jacksonville IFS virtually, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM local time!
