Niantic's Lightship division has announced they will host an upcoming global, virtual Build-a-thon in co-operation with AR House Los Angeles!
This could be the chance for developers to experiment with the AR platform which is the main building block of Ingress and the other Niantic games!

🩸🇮🇳 Agents from both Factions in Mumbai, India, under Agent @Rajagosavi's coordination, have gathered last Sunday to participate in a blood donation event in their city!
The commitment of the Ingress Community in spreading awareness about this important topic with their #RedFaction has been commendable over the years with many Ingress events which were dedicated towards this purpose.
We would like to use this chance to invite everyone who can, to donate their blood: the presence of sufficient stocks of this tissue in hospitals and emergency rooms can, and very often does, save a life.

Niantic has revealed the rules for Phase I of the upcoming Kythera Anomaly.
This phase will take place from Friday, April 15th 2022 @ 1100 UTC to Monday, April 18th 2022 @ 1100 UTC. Agents will be able to deploy Battle Beacons on any Portal during this timespan to participate in the Event.
NIASection14 will deploy Rare Battle Beacons on Sunday, April 17th between 1430 and 1730 local time on Portals which will start to be ornamented shortly.
These Portals will be highlighted in 100 pre-selected locations.
Scoring
🔸 For NIA-deployed Beacons, the sum of each Battle Checkpoint Score is multiplied by 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 or 8 based on the Battle Category (CAT-I to CAT-VI)
In each of the 100 targeted locations, 13 points will be split between the two Factions based on the score achieved by them.
🔸 For Agent-deployed Battle Beacons, 260 points will be split between the two Factions based on the sum of every single Battle Checkpoint Score across the world.
🔸 In phases II and III, 10 locations will be randomly chosen from all applications in this form and will be worth 26 points each for a total of 260. For May, apply by April 24th. For June, apply by May 29th.
Kythera Medal
The medal (see photo) will be awarded to Agents who will interact with 10 Battle Beacons in total across all three phases of the Event.
Additionally, the in-app store will feature a
limited time pack with a load out and the 2015 Klue Badge for 30800 CMU.

Not much has changed since the last update, only Mountain View's score was finalised as all the Shards of the Californian city were captured. Stockholm RES also captured the last shard.

The Enlightened won in 6 cities against the 4 of the Resistance, who captured 30 Shards against the 36 of the rivals.
4 Shards were left uncaptured: 1 in Berlin, Germany and 3 in Singapore.
No win criteria was announced for this unplanned event, so it is unknown what the consequence of these results will be although the Enlightened came out on top.
Rumor has it that this mini-event was a test for Ingress Events in Q3 2022! If so, you'd better brace yourselves, Shards are coming!
