Niantic has released the rules for the Kureze Effect Anomaly, Phase 3!
This phase will take place from March 18th @ 1100 UTC to March 21st @ 1100 UTC.
🔸Starting now, ornaments are appearing on Portals which will have a Battle Beacon deployed on by NIA. Battle Beacons will appear between 1430 and 1730 local time on March 19th. Portals may host a NIA Battle Beacon more than once.
🔸Like in phases 1 and 2, Agents will be able to deploy Battle Beacons of any rarity on any Portal to take part in the Event.
🔸Scoring remains the same as Phase 2. The sum of each Battle Checkpoint Score will be multiplied by 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 or 8 based on the Battle Category (CAT-I to CAT-VI) and assigned to the relative Faction's Event Score. Score is then multiplied by 5 if the portal is in one of NIA's playzones and deployed by NIA.
🔸The final score for Phase 3 will be published within 24 hours of the Event end together with a map with score per Regional Cell.
Kureze Effect Medal
To obtain the medal, Agents need to interact with at least ten (10) Battle Beacons scored in any of the three Event Phases (Jan 23rd, Feb 19th, Mar 19th). Medal will be unlocked instantly.
An Agent Profile metric is available to monitor the progress during the Event.

Today, these two beautiful Field Arts were created, both representing a dove, the symbol of peace by definition.
On Saturday evening, two Enlightened and two Resistance Agents created the former in Ludwigsburg, Germany 🇩🇪. At the end of the operation, Via Lux Beacons were ignited.

Furthermore, a Portal Scan meter has been added to the Portal's Details screen: if Agents create 7 Scans of a Portal in a single Septicycle, a Rare Battle Beacon will spawn on it after this period has expired.
Among the bugfixes, Keys will retain their alphabetical order if sorted by name, the FITREP screen is now only displayed once per week.
The team also appears to have resolved the issue with newly accepted Portals and Edits not appearing on the Scanner Map.

With the start of Septicycle 2022.11, the Community Scans meters have now been activated! Any portal which receives 7 cumulative scans will have a Rare Battle Beacon deployed on it when the Septicycle ends. After 13 cumulative scans a Portal Fracker will be deployed on it immediately!
Time to get out and scan some portals!
