Niantic has officially revealed the Second Sundays, an event focused on completing missions and exploring your local area.
As of now, Second Sundays during the months of July, August and September have been confirmed, and depending on the resonance, Second Sunday may be made a permanent event.
During the Second Sunday, you'll have to complete six official Mission Day missions to gain a +1 for your Mission Day badge. It doesn't matter if the missions have been completed by you before, as long as they are completed during the respective event period.
In addition to the requirements above, the first Second Sunday on July 12th will count ALL unique missions, even if they haven't been created for a mission day. Simply completing six unique missions will advance your Mission Day counter by one.
The first Second Sunday will run from Friday, July 9th 4pm UTC to Monday, July 12th 4pm UTC.

Niantic published Release Notes for Ingress Prime 2.75.1!
Looking forward to Second Sundays, now sorting nearby missions by NIA should filter the loaded mission list and show only official Mission Day missions within range.
Fixed bugs regards Comm loads and mentions, Kinetic Capsule programs start, and CORE username flair.
Niantic team is aware of some COMM issues and is working on resolving them.

Agent Ishira has compiled an accurate report regarding her investigation of the first NL-1331x appearance in the new #MeetYouOutThere Tour.
The focus of her observations were the XM Research Vehicle itself, its influx on NianticThia and other members of the Niantic staff and an experiment involving the use of the Spiritualist Tecthulhu Module.
The report is also enriched with photo and video documentation which will surely be helpful to Investigators.

While maintainance is ongoing, NianticAndrew thanked all Agents for their patience with these frequent maintenance interventions. He explained that the focus of these updates is to "improve overall performance and clean up some long standing infrastructural issues".
Zero downtime was a top requirement for this maintenance, but we believe that announcements to make Agents aware were and are a good step in the right direction for communication!

In this version, Portal Scanning now displays hexagonal points to "provide more visual feedback during the scanning flow" (see picture), and the Aerodyne avatar by IQTech was added to the game.
As far as bug fixes are concerned, the Reassign Portal button in the tutorial now has consistent styling and passcodes which include a Portal Key won't hang the redeeming animation any longer.
