#Umbra Anomaly Rules: Explained!

Chapter 3: Decyphering Challenge
Umbra's true name is hidden behind layers of shadow and mystery. While the anomaly battle will prevent her plans from coming to fruition, in order to truly defeat her, the agents must uncover her true identity. Agents must decode enciphered passcodes and enter them into the scanner in order to identify information about Umbra.

At the start of the anomaly, Agents who purchased an Onsite or Offsite Activation Ticket will receive an email from Niantic (check the email sender's address) containing some minicodes for their specific city. When these codes are redeemed by an Agent, it will be counted for their Faction. If a Faction reaches 75% of solved minicodes, it will reach Critical State, and unlock a Master Code: if decoded correctly, it will grant 10 Anomaly Points to the first Faction to redeem it.

⚠️ Only Agents who purchased an Activation Ticket will receive the Minicodes/Master Codes email.
