Niantic released new rules for the upcoming Anomaly Events We will to make them simpler and to summarize the most important points.
Unique Portal Hacks
The Faction whose Agents manage to hack the most Unique Portals in the Anomaly Zone wins. Any ornamented portal counts.
At the end of the Event, an average for all registered and checked-in Agents will be calculated, excluding the Agents on the top and bottom 15% of each Faction's leaderboard: the highest average wins 65 points for their Faction.
Total Scoring
• Total points for each site are 365: 100 for every of the 3 challenges and 65 for unique portal hacks.
• Kaohsiung and Amsterdam are worth 1 city point, while Chicaco is worth 2 city points
• If the score is 2-2 at the end, the Faction with the highest total score across all three cities wins the Series
• No global competition is set for this Series

Attention, all Agents around the world,
this is a crossfaction call to the scanners. We all want the Dark XM Event medal, but we need to collaborate to unlock it.
At the time of writing this post, we have captured 23% more portals compared to the baseline. At this rate, we'd only capture 125.000 portals, 30% of the goal. But not all is lost, we can completely overturn this datum with the effort of every one of you: fight next to each other for one day 💙💚
• How? Organise with your community an operation to capture all the portals in your city, together with the other faction. If you are alone or in a remote area of the world, go out and colour your area. Each portal is relevant!
• When? The call is for the 9 pm of April 28th of your local timezone: this way we will create a wave of colour from the east to the west! You can go out before that time to capture portals inaccessible during the evening. The decay will not destroy them for several hours, don't worry about that.
• What else? Don't use XMPs. Put them in a capsule, forget about them. It is not relevant which faction is the owner, they just don't have to be neutral.

It's half past 9pm here, let's make a summary of the situation!
We finally reached the minimum line! We are estimating that 62.5% of the 400.000 Portals goal has been reached, and the wave we launched yesterday has reached half of the globe by now, so we can expect the percentage to raise more.
But the battle is not over! With a decay rate of 30% a day, if you deployed a resonator on a Portal at the start of the Event, and nobody recharged it, it will decay in the next day. Make sure to check your keys to find decaying portals and if you see enemy portals that are a step away from decaying, neutralise and capture them back!
The goal is in sight! Keep pushing!
