Operation Ko Lan

27 Teams for each faction qualified in the Prime Challenge events around the world. Now only 6 players for each faction will represent the Enlightened and the Resistance in Ko Lan from 11th to 15th April. The winning faction will earn the Key for the Abaddon Prime finale in May.

The applications and the videos must be sent by 5:00 P.M. PT on January 15, 2019. It's time to move Agents!

Much like the other parts of the Ingress website, even the Support page has been revamped, although Agents are reporting some strange facts about it:

• The link to open a cheating or inappropriate behaviour report is nowhere to be found (except on google, but it redirects to the support home)
• A live chat system with Niantic (we don't know if with robots or actual people) has been added to the site, and you can report agents using this method. (On certain browsers only!)
• Some links are broken due to typos
• Double scroll bar!

We hope these issues will be fixed soon, since the site is relatively "newborn"; we personally like these revamps a lot!

In the coming days you will receive an update to the Ingress Prime Scanner. We’re excited to announce it includes the beta rollout of a new optional Battery Saver mode that can be enabled in the settings!

WHAT’S NEW IN 2.15.1?

Performance: When Ingress Prime is started or re-opened, pending animations will not be shown
Performance: Improved resource usage and cleanup for many Map animations
Performance: Improved linking
Performance: New Battery Saver mode that can be enabled via a settings option
UX: Portal state is now refreshed upon entering or leaving the Recharge, Deploy or Link screens
UX: For increased visibility, Shields will not be faded when fully zoomed out

​In December 2018, Google announced their decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and they have recently made public the list of changes to be expected.

Here are the ones that will involve the average user:

• February 4th
You won't be able to create a new G+ Account any longer.

• April 2nd
Lockup and deletion initiated for every G+ account and page. This includes photos and videos from Album Archives. You can download and save your content before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.

If you are a Community owner or moderator
Download and save your data for your Google+ Community starting early March 2019. Including author, body, and photos for every community post in a public community.

If you sign in to sites and apps using the G+ Sign-in button
These buttons are about to be deactivated and replaced with a "Sign-in with Google" button.

Niantic has launched another #GlyphChallenge!

They are asking Agents to help them with key XM research by creating the “HUMAN” Glyph during the weekend of February 8-10.
Share your images and stories of creating the glyph, and the top 50 exceptional works of art will receive a passcode for items that can be shared among you and 19 of your fellow Agents.
