Speaking of the #pay2win scandal, in the night Niantic has responded to the input from the community regarding the 'issue' and has decided to make some changes to what is currently offered within the in-app store starting on Wednesday.
Ingress will no longer be selling items like Aegis Shields or Very Rare Portal Shields and L7/L8 items in the current item bundles (Anomaly packs may vary from this).
Niantic will also monitor in-app store sales and consider options such as imposing a limit on the number of purchases an Agent can make per month to not affect gameplay.

- Partecipants of a First Saturday Event have to check-in with locals organizers and also hack a specific portal;
- Partecipants of a Mission Day Event have to register themselves in the official Niantic site and also have to do a check-in with local POCs to show the completed missions. Note that Niantic does not allow email check-in anymore.
We also read that Tiers of #FirstSaturday medal are: Bronze 1, Silver 6, Gold 12, Platinum 24, Onyx 36. We still don't know if it is retroactive or not. If not, a player needs at least 3 years to reach Onyx level
