Starting July 13th at 12:01 AM GMT and running through July 22nd at 11:59 PM GMT we are holding a special Cassandra Neutralizer event!
Every unique Portal you neutralize will count towards your Cassandra Neutralizer medal.
The medal will have three tiers (100 Bronze, 300 Silver, 1000 Gold) based on how many unique Portals you neutralize during the event.
There will also be a new statistic that appears in your scanner to help you keep track of your progress.

- Anomaly Rules and Format Informations are expected to be released in the next weeks, keep your eyes open!

Agents are starting to report about reaching the final goal for the Cassandra Neutralizer Medal! From the Resistance, it took Agent @Mcfly13 8 hours and 57 km of cycling to get to the 1000th Unique Neutralised Portal. From the Enlightened, @BodhiDeluX needed around 2500 XMPs and a great plan to reach the magic number!
Congratulations to the Agents who are reaching this goal, they are getting more and more numerous!

The new Cassandra Prime events have been defined in every detail. Here is a simplified explanation of the challenges Agents will be facing with! We will be posting about every challenge through the next days!
Phase 1 - Cluster Battle
Measurements: 4
Duration: 1 hour
Points to split: 100
Maybe many of you will remember this classic: in 4 measurements, the two factions will have to capture the highest number of active Portals in the Anomaly Zone (highlited by an orange ornament). Volatile Portals will be selected (but not highlighted) and will become less and less frequent but more and more valuable, so make sure that your Faction decoders are trained and fit to discover them!
The 100 points at stake will be divided based on the highest scores by each faction in any of the 4 measurements and its percentage in relation with each other.

Phase 2 - Shard Battle
Jumps: 13
Duration: 1 hour
Points to split: 100
Another classic in the history of the Anomaly Challenges! Just before the beginning of this phase, a number of Research Nodes (particularly ornamented portals, yellow for the ENL and red for the RES) will spawn on the Map, along with a number of shards. Both numbers are reported in the table at the bottom.
Shards will try to jump every 5 minutes along links between L4+ Portals to reach the research nodes of both Factions, but their behaviour follows some rules:
• Shards will not backtrack to a portal they have already been to in the previous 13 minutes (2 jumps).
• If a Shard ends on a Research Node that has been already visited by the same Shard, it won't score a point.
• If multiple Links start from the same Portal, the Shard on it may travel along whichever Link and if multiple Shards are on a Portal, they may travel along different Links.
Each time a Shard travels on a Research node, it will score a point for the relative Faction independently from the Portal ownership.
The 100 points at stake will be split based on the percentage of the total points scored by each Faction.
Fields over the Anomaly Zone will be removed in this phase. Moreover, Decoders can discover in advance the position of the Research Nodes!

The Ingress Scanner app, the Intel Map website and the Pokémon Go App have become unresponsive to some Agents, for others it's just extremely slow on login. We are waiting for official communications by Niantic.
