"The #ViaNoir Anomalies have come to an end, and the Enlightened have prevailed in one of the most fiercely contested Anomaly days in recent history… but is this the end of the dark road?

Oliver Lynton-Wolfe’s plan to activate his dark machine, what has been referred to as the ‘Tecthulhu,’ has failed.

In no small part, this was due to the actions of Agents around the world at the Anomalies, who helped accomplish this in collaboration with Devra Bogdanovich. She believed that Lynton-Wolfe could not be trusted with this much knowledge and power.

But has he truly been stopped? It remains unclear…

Have we reached the end of this dark path? How will the X take advantage of Lynton-Wolfe’s misstep?

"Here’s what Devra had to say about the Anomaly yesterday. She thanks the Agents for helping to stop Oliver Lynton-Wolfe with their ferocity and energy when they engaged with the XM Anomalies yesterday.

In Seoul, I witnessed this first hand. It was exhilarating.

While I too am worried about what lies ahead, yesterday left me comforted in the knowledge that Agents everywhere are ready and willing to face the challenges of the future head-on.

<<That last message from Lynton-Wolfe. It left me troubled.

‘Where there was one, there will be many?’

‘The Machine cannot be unmade?’

I barely slept, his words kept echoing in my mind.

I know that we may not have won the war yet, but I know we fought a good battle. I did what I could to help, but I was just taking advantage of what you, Agents all around the world, made possible. The ferocity and energy with which you engaged yesterday, it was what we needed to stop him.

I congratulate the Enlightened, and I have already been hearing about how the Acolyte plans to use this advantage to further their cause.

In my mind, however, it is the Agents of both Factions who have emerged victorious against Lynton-Wolfe’s plans. The true conflict in Noir is not green vs. blue — it is dark vs. light.

I must also extend my thanks to P A Chapeau. Thank you for traveling to Seoul and helping to provide me with the time and resources I needed to undertake my mission yesterday. >>

What was inside +Hank Johnson​ 's case? Agents were wondering what was inside the case which resistance got yesterday in Rome. Usually such information is kept unrevealed. But this knowledge should belong to all agents. The anomaly series is over. Now it is safe to say a few words about what was inside the case without breaking the #opSec.

Inside the case were:
* Envelopes with puzzles;
* A (Klue) clue;
* The Klue;
* A roll of sticky tape;
* A big portable lamp.

On the front side of puzzle pieces there was a picture. The back side was a QR-code. By solving the puzzle and flipping the image over, you'd get the QR-code that lead to Intel. (Here begins #opSec). The sticky tape was to stick puzzle pieces together. The lamp was to make sure that there is enough light to solve the puzzle. What were the QR codes? What showed the front images of puzzles? This shall remain mystery...

Silver Medal: Level 9 - Level 12
Gold Medal: Level 13 & 14

"Congratulations to the Enlightened on their victory at the #ViaNoir Anomalies. Personally, I experienced a bit of a disappointment given that the Enlightened did not win in Rome and I was unable to retrieve a portion of the Howcraft document that I was searching for... but there will be other chances to retrieve it. I will keep you posted, I suspect I may need your help.

It seems that we were able to stop Lynton-Wolfe and his version of the Tecthulhu has been destroyed. But his last words have been echoing around in my mind.

I heard the Acolyte and Jahan displayed a show of camaraderie in New Orleans. I laughed to myself about that. I have no doubts that even now the Acolyte is taking every advantage of the Enlightened victory -- seeking to bring the power of the Tecthulhu under her control. And Jahan of course is trying to do that as well.

It had to be destroyed to take it away from Lynton-Wolfe -- that doesn't mean it's the last we've heard of it.

"I don't know why everybody thinks we will be in Vreeland next quarter. That is wrong. Since Santa isn't really giving us an option in the North Pole (+Andrew Krug​ thanks for your help on the visa), we are currently working on:

The date is uncertain, it depends mostly on where the ring will be at around February-March.

Here’s how it works:

🔸Initially the new hub will work in San Francisco and Tokyo
🔸The tool will initially only be invite-only, only open to Ingress players who’ve reached L16
🔸Players will ultimately be able to give feedback on potential portals in two places: the area they play most, and one other location of their choice that they have local knowledge of
🔸Players give feedback on multiple factors (photo, name, etc). It’s not a straight up yes/no vote.
🔸They’ll be starting with Niantic’s existing backlog first
🔸Behind the scenes, the hub weighs each player’s feedback based on how good they seem to be at ranking portals
🔸Once a portal gets enough positive feedback and an algorithm gives it the greenlight, the portal goes live in-game.
