In addition, we’ve received intel suggesting Agents will have the opportunity to witness exclusive content from the anime and Ingress Prime at the Fukuoka XM Festival after party on Saturday, April 7th.
But the fun doesn’t end there; agents who participate in the XM Festival or any of the MAGNUS events will be awarded an in-game exclusive medal. Agents, it’s time to move.

Ingress has given some details on the in-game exclusive medal.
It can be earned participating in the XM Festival in Fukuoka (April 7th) or any of the Magnus events (Camp Navarro, USA or Schloss Kaltenberg, Germany on May 25th)
The medal cannot be earned from going to an Anomaly. The offsite participants will not receive it.

Ingress will be receiving its own anime series which is set to begin airing October 2018. This is what the plot says:
Now, a new struggle is about to unfold in Tokyo and across the globe. Dangerous and powerful forces seeking to exploit the potential of XM will collide
The official site of the anime writes "This groundbreaking project will mark the beginning of an epic augmented-reality experience combining the three elements of animation, location-based gaming, and the real world".
In particular, at the announcement of the anime the producer explained that it will be cross platform: the game story and the animation will interlock in real time. The world of Scanner will suffered by story of animation, and reverse direction also.
Producers think that after watching an episode in our houses, we will want to go out and play Ingress. What do you think about it?

Anomalies
- The idea of a Tiered Medal for attended Anomalies has been taken in consideration for some time now
- The Anomaly Series configuration will be revealed in the beginning of April
- Details on Fukuoka's Shard Game will be released in due time
- Anomalous XM Events (such as Fukuoka's) will appear in the Anomaly list
NL-1331
- NL-PRIME will count for ONE NL-1331 meetup, no matter how many times you ride it
- Indian stops of the NL-1331 tour "are on the roadmap"
OPR
- Some OPR parts are getting an upgrade to take Portals out of the infamous "limbo"
- OPR rating is only based on the candidate analyzed, not on those submitted
Cheating
- Agents still suspended after the Drunken Frog scandal will have a resolution in a short time
- Niantic is not done processing and investigating on suspects
- On CakeMod (modded Ingress client): "We are against making private information public. Any additional release of private information in the public domain will not be responded to. Any tool that violates TOS is not allowed and players found violating the TOS will be dealt with accordingly."
Other
- New Vanguards will probably be added by the end of the year
- Andrew recommends creating a water resistant artifact for Schloss Kaltenstein, due to the unpredictable weather
- Fumi Yamazaki (APAC Community Manager) will be holding her own AMAs
- First Saturdays are likely to get their own Multi-Tiered Medal and prize kits to distribute
