Andrew answered 272 (!) questions in this week's #AMA. Here are the highlights!
OPR
- A Portal Submission FAQ is being redacted.
- If a Portal has been accepted some time ago and criteria change, it doesn't mean the Portal is now invalid.
- Portals must be safe to access on foot, not safe to reach by other means.
Anomaly
- An announcement regarding Q1 can expected in the next two weeks.
- More info about Camp Navarro will be coming soon.
- If you haven't received their Anomaly Badges despite having registered and hacked the Registration Portal, you are advised to contact your Anomaly POC.
Cheating
- RIOTgate isn't over yet.
- thrakazog.com is not scraping since it is getting the data from Niantic legitimately.
- Every kind or level of scraping, and the use of scraped data is against TOS.
- Storing attack messages is probably against TOS as well. (Is not deleting and storing mails a TOS violation? Editor's note)
- CleanIngress has reported a list of rogue Agents and tools: "It doesn't mean what they are doing is a TOS violation too."
