The reason for Ingress 1.121.0 to be released was to internalize the strings for the recent items (Lawson, Circle K, Transmuter +/-) into the application.
Prior to this the strings were downloaded during application launch, which apparently caused some items to not have descriptions/titles in certain situations. As the items are public knowledge now, there is no need to keep them out of the application.

Selected Agents will be given a free Supporter Kit, sent a limited edition volunteer coin, and also receive a special Ingress broadcaster patch.
You must be willing to install preferred apps for photo watermarking photos.
Preference will be given to Agents who have connections with a team that is willing to have their comings and goings documented and shared (you will have to filter any team sensitive information). A GoRuck team. A bike team. A fielding team. Etc.
Applications will be accepted until 5pm ET on 05 AUG 2017. Selected applicants will be notified a couple of days after.

Phase 1: Portal Battle
Fight to control active Anomaly Zone Portals and higher value ‘Volatile’ Portals four times over the course of the hour.
Duration: ~0:00 to ~1:00
Cooldown: ~1:00 to ~1:30
Phase 2: Flash Shards
Use Links to move Shards to Faction-Specific Target Portals over the course of the hour.
Strategically distribute Shards across Target Portals to maximize points.
Duration: ~1:30 to ~2:30
Cooldown: ~2:30 to ~3:00
Phase 3: Field Frenzy
Create as many Fields as possible using active Anomaly Zone Portals twice over the course of the hour.
Duration: ~3:00 to ~4:00
Each one of these phases has an available score of 100 that will be split between the factions based on their performance in the challenges
