The participants have received further information from Niantic:

* No riding on attractions during the event
* Cosplay ok but no sexy outfit, military gear or bloody makeup
* Prepare a bag/knapsack that can hold 10 500ml PET bottles
* Prepare a mobile battery & charging cable for min. 8 hr ingress playing
* No hazardous material such as weapons, gun powder, chemical lights, surstromming etc.
* No alcohol
* No game company names other than Niantic, no games other than Ingress to be mentioned
* No slander against the sponsors

Also, they will be receiving knee pads and elbow pads to wear during the event.

#AppleARKit #Ingress2 Yesterday, as some of you may know, the Apple WWDC was held in San Jose, California.
The most important innovation announced at the event, was the decision by Apple to enter the world of Augmented Reality, with the creation of a dedicated "ARKit" for iOS developers.

Specifically, ARKit supports Unity, Unreal Engine and Scenekit and will be provided on iPad and iPhone, available to developers.
In the demo, as seen at WWDC 2017, Apple showed an app capable of generating virtual content and integrating it into a real landscape, and then showed a game based on the principle itself and transformed the desktops of the Product Demonstration Stage in a battle arena.
This innovative development kit has been confirmed to bring some fresh news to Pokémon Go, the newest AR game by Niantic, but will it have the same influence on Ingress? Will the much anticipated 2.0 version be the keystone of this huge graphical change? Things are moving pretty fast, Agents... Brace yourselves!

As mentioned awhile back, we are committed to limiting the impact of third-party seller networks in Ingress. We will now be removing items from the game that were purchased from these unauthorized sellers. This means that any items illegitimately obtained through third-party websites or services will disappear from inventories - even if these items were passed to other players unknowingly.

Illegitimate items that are in a legitimate capsule will be removed from the capsule. Legitimate items in illegitimate capsules will be emptied from the capsule and then the capsule will be deleted. We appreciate your cooperation and continued support of our efforts to keep Ingress fair and fun for all Agents.

1. The Portal Contest: LuminescentHeart (Enl) won the overall prize while other awards won by Trickster's Top Hat (Res, Kodama's prize), Transvisionary Oracle (Enl, Hank Johnson's prize) and Tu es qui conformat (Xfac, PAC's prize)
2. The Scavenger Hunt was a tie
3. After 13 jumps (every 5 minutes), Enl won the shard game during the event owning the last portal (Temple of Light)
4. Enl made the longest link (over 3700 km) from Gatcha Gameception (portal at Camp Navarro of Catalyst team) to Halape Guardian (portal in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, HI)
