The deal reportedly includes planes, missiles and shells.

Minister of Education Yoav Kisch: "I don't think there is a way to return the residents of the north to their homes without a massive war against Hezbollah, we should have done it a long time ago."

As the negotiators depart for Qatar, Netanyahu stands firm on his demand that the IDF retain control of the Gaza-Sinai border (Philadelphi Corridor).

The IDF has uncovered dozens of major smuggling tunnels running under the Gaza-Sinai border.

This is how Hamas was able to so heavily arm itself over the past decade.

US officials ahead of the ceasefire summit in Doha: "Israel has reached the end of the road in Gaza."

Most Israelis would dispute this assessment.

Two very clear objectives were laid out at the start of the war:

1. Return of all the hostages

2. Defeat of Hamas in such a way that it never again poses a military threat

Those two objectives have yet to be met.

The Americans think they will accomplish the first with a bilateral deal, but that is rather naive.

And their bilateral deal will mean Israel simply does not accomplish the second objective, and Hamas lives on.
πŸ™232
It is important to remember that Hamas is not participating in the Doha summit today.

US officials said the terror group would be consulted after the talks conclude.

And... then what?

The others are all going to conclude a deal on Hamas's behalf, and then trust Hamas to keep the terms of that deal?

Remember when everyone was saying Hamas=ISIS?

Would the US trust ISIS to honor a deal made in this way?

Hamas today published a photo of an Israeli hostage who it says was recently executed by his captors.

More psychological terror.

But after investigating, the IDF announced that the hostage was someone who was killed much earlier in the war and that his body was already retrieved from Gaza by Israeli forces in November.

The Israeli delegation will remain in Qatar tonight and continue the Gaza ceasefire talks tomorrow, reportedly under significant American pressure.

Hamas is not taking direct part in the talks, but has made its primary condition known: A full IDF withdrawal from Gaza before any hostages are released.

Israel is standing firm on its position that the war is not yet completed, and there is no way the IDF leaves the Gaza-Sinai border (Philadelphi Corridor) at this time.

There is very little chance of a deal, despite what US officials say.

The long wait for the Iran-Hezbollah attack on Israel has had a deceptive impact on the narrative.

It now appears as though Israel is awaiting an Iranian and Hezbollah response to something it did to them.

BUT REMEMBER: The eliminations of Fuad Shukr and Ismail Haniyeh were an Israeli response to something Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas did to Israel.

Several dozen Jewish vigilantes entered the Palestinian village of Jit in Samaria last night and set fire to a number of cars and houses.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government immediately condemned the action and urged Israelis to not take the law into their own hands, but to let the security forces fight terror.

Jewish residents of the area feel the security forces are not doing enough to prevent the almost daily attacks they suffer at the hands of Palestinian terrorists.
