Fearing an Iranian attack, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem has moved dozens of rare works of art to an underground safe room.

Visitors to the Israel Museum found that some of the valuable and rare pieces of art, including works by Vincent van Gogh, Paul CΓ©zanne and Paul Gauguin, have been moved to a subterranean shelter and a sign reading "Temporarily removed" is posted in their original location.

At the beginning of the war, the Dead Sea Scrolls were removed from their public viewing place and have not returned since.

Public Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir: "Jews praying in their most holy place – this is my Israel!"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "The Public Security Minister doesn't get to set policy on this matter. The event on the Temple Mount violated the status quo."

Israel remains fearful that allowing Jews to have full religious freedom will upset the Muslim world.
