Osama Hamdan, another Hamas leader based in Lebanon, told CNN that no one really knows how many Israeli hostages are still alive.

According to Israeli figures, 120 hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip, but at least 30 of them are believed to be dead.

REPORT: The Biden admin will impose sanctions on Israeli demonstrators who prevented aid trucks from entering Gaza at a time when Hamas was stealing all the aid.

Once again, this seems obsessive, hypocritical and over the top.

There are disruptive and destructive demonstrations taking place all over the world, including on American university campuses.

Why the exaggerated focus on and punitive action against only those in Israel?

The soldiers were traveling in a convoy around 5 a.m. today after conducting an overnight offensive against Hamas in the northwestern areas of the Tel Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, the IDF said.

The convoy was heading to buildings captured by the army, where troops were to rest after the overnight operation.

The Namer armored personnel carrier was the fifth or sixth vehicle in the convoy and was hit by a major explosion at some point. It was not immediately clear whether it was a prematurely planted bomb or whether Hamas operatives approached the vehicle with an explosive device and placed it directly on the armored personnel carrier.

The military was also investigating the possibility that explosives stored on the outside of the Namer contributed to the massive explosion. Normally, the mines and other explosives stored on the outside of the Namer would not be able to cause injuries to the soldiers inside if detonated.

The deaths of the eight soldiers bring the number of IDF soldiers killed in the ground offensive against Hamas and in operations along the Gaza border to 307.

The deadliest incident in the Gaza Strip occurred in January, when 21 soldiers were killed in an explosion following Hamas rocket-propelled grenade fire that caused two buildings to collapse.

If you listen carefully, the soldier’s voice breaks a little as he tries to calm Noa after they breach the room she is held in. It was a difficult and emotional situation for all involved.

Once in the armored vehicle, Noa says she is nervous and scared. The soldiers again comfort and shield her like brothers protecting a little sister.
