War Cabinet minister Gadi Eisenkot tells Channel 12 that Hamas can't and won't be destroyed by Israel.

"It's an unrealistic goal," he insists.

He is also proud that his party prevented Israel from launching a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which he said would have been a "strategic mistake."

Eisenkot is no. 2 on Benny Gantz's National Camp party list.

He thinks elections should take place as soon as possible so that he and Gantz can take over for Netanyahu and "restore public trust."

IDF soldiers: "We need your help."

A letter posted by soldiers of Battalion 7114 of the "Benjamin Brigade" says they are still in serious need of support.

The Benjamin Brigade usually protects Jerusalem's northern flank, but has now been redeployed to Gaza to relieve other battalions being sent home for rest after months of fighting.

"We are here to complete the mission no matter the cost. We left family, friends and jobs to achieve victory," reads the appeal. "But we need your help," they tell fellow Israelis.

Some of these soldiers will be surprised to find that millions of Christians are also standing with them.

Reports of a serious airstrike or missile strike in Damascus this morning.

It is still not clear who carried out the attack and what was the target, but a 4-floor building was reportedly destroyed.

Arab media reports that senior figures in the Islamic Jihad and possibly other Iran-aligned terror were killed in the Damascus strike 👆

Iran confirms that 4 "military advisors" were killed in the Damascus strike, including the local head of intelligence for the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Syria.

The eliminated Iranian general is Haj Sadiq Omidzadeh, head of the IRGC Quds Force in Syria and a senior intelligence officer.

Iran is officially blaming Israel, which is probably a safe assumption.

There have been numerous missile and drone attacks along the Israel-Lebanon border this morning.

The IDF today dropped leaflets over southern Gaza with the photos and names (in Arabic) of 69 Israeli hostages.

The message urged locals that the war will only end, and they can only return home after the Israelis captives are freed. A phone number was provided for anyone with information.
