Imagine if Israel had fired missiles toward the Kaaba in Mecca. The global outcry would have been enormous: Israel would be accused of endangering Islamโ€™s holiest site. Why shouldnโ€™t the same standard apply to the Houthis?
The bitter irony is that, time and again, Muslims themselves have shown little restraint toward their own religious sites in internal power struggles โ€” something we witnessed dramatically during the war in Syria. Israel, by contrast, is held to particularly strict international standards when it comes to its treatment of the holy sites of other religions, even though it makes considerable efforts to protect them.

Three days ago, British Muslim MP Tahir Ali (like Ali al-Taher in Lebanon, only the other way around ๐Ÿ˜) stood up in Parliament and called for military action against Israel.

Here is the relevant clip, including his explicit words.

The Associated Press reports that Saudi Arabia is asking its allies for help as its stockpiles of interceptor missiles are increasingly being depleted in the fight against the Houthis.

According to sources in the region, Riyadh has asked France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan and Egypt to deploy air-defense systems to help intercept missiles and drones launched from Yemen.

The situation is said to be โ€œextremely difficultโ€: Saudi Arabia has to protect its military bases, key government facilities, and oil and energy infrastructure across the kingdom at the same time.

Despite Saudi efforts to secure support, there are so far apparently no signs that any of these countries is prepared to provide direct military assistance.

But this is where things get interesting. Because the one country that Saudi Arabia does not officially recognize as a partner is reportedly standing by its side behind the scenes: Israel.

Israel is reportedly providing military support to the Saudis. And this cooperation apparently reaches the highest levels of the armed forces: Israelโ€™s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, met with his Saudi counterpart.

No diplomatic relations in public โ€” military cooperation against common threats behind the scenes. In the Middle East, alliances are now emerging that officially do not even exist.

๐Ÿ“ฏ What does the sound of the shofar have to do with Israel today?

Since biblical times, the shofar has called people to reflection, repentance, and responsibility before God. Especially in these turbulent times, we need voices that not only explain Israel, but also put current events into context from an Israeli and biblical perspective.

That is exactly what Israel Today stands for โ€“ directly from Jerusalem.

But our work is becoming increasingly expensive. To finance it through subscriptions alone, an annual subscription would now have to cost around โ‚ฌ130. We want to avoid that, so that Israel Today remains affordable for as many people as possible.

That is why we need your support. Those who are able to give a little more help ensure that others can continue to receive independent information and biblical perspective directly from Israel.

Together, we can make sure that the voice of Jerusalem continues to be heard throughout the German-speaking world tomorrow.

Israel is tiny. Why does it shake the whole world?

From the Gaza Strip to the Strait of Hormuz: Why Israel, despite its small size, is increasingly at the center of global crises and their consequences.

Israel is a tiny country. On a world map, you almost have to search for it. Around ten million people live on a narrow strip of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. And yet in 2026, one sometimes gets the impression that a remarkably large portion of global politics revolves around precisely this patch of biblical earth.

Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab โ€” Israel appears directly or indirectly everywhere. The United States is being drawn in, Europe is taking positions, Arab states must realign their alliances, trade routes are coming under pressure, and energy prices are responding to military developments in the Middle East. On one hand, Israel is too small to dominate the world and yet suddenly large enough to shake it. Here we are...

In November, he will turn 91. Perhaps it would be better for him to rest at home โ€ฆ

Maher Rayan, a Palestinian from Hebron, pollutes the Hebron Stream and explains: โ€œThese are the deeds we are proud of.โ€

Palestinians regularly destroy the environment and then claim ownership of Judea and Samaria. They sow destruction and devastationโ€”and are even proud of their actions.

An excellent video for public diplomacy in Europe, especially among the โ€œclimate advocates.โ€
