Lebanese television station MTV reports that the Israeli army attacked more than 15 tunnels in the Nabatieh area yesterday evening in a single raid – from the Yahmar al-Shaqif area to the Ali al-Taher mountain range.

Lebanese media outlets report that bunker-buster bombs were used in the latest attacks. The effect was exceptionally powerful.

Israeli security forces on Sunday completed a counter-terrorism operation near Nablus (biblical Shechem) in central Samaria.

Fatah spokesman in the Gaza Strip Mundhir Al-Hayek admitted that the Palestinian Authority never ceased rewarding terrorists who carried out attacks on Israelis.

Speaking to Hebron-based radio station Alam on Aug. 23, Al-Hayek said: “What the US is asking for regarding stopping the payment of salaries to [terrorist] prisoners… we, as Palestinians, do not accept... We did not stop the payment of salaries.”

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett says Israel faces a “diplomatic emergency,” accusing Benjamin Netanyahu of presiding over a collapse in Israel’s international standing.

Bennett laid out an alternative agenda: rebuild public support in the United States, pressure Iran directly, disarm Hamas and Hezbollah, expand regional ties and return Israel to the center of Middle East diplomacy.

British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband on Tuesday announced an official import ban on goods made in Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria.

Miliband said he was making this announcement as a “proud British Jew” who supports both Israel and the “State of Palestine.”

Shortly after, the foreign ministers of 12 countries including the UK issued a joint statement on their intention to impose or consider similar restrictions on trade in goods from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.

The other countries are Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
