Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Friday expressed his condolences following the death of Norway’s King Harald V at the age of 89.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of King Harald V of Norway,” Herzog said. “King Harald V, who loved his people and was loved by them in return, served his nation as King with loyalty and devotion for more than 35 years.”

He added, “On behalf of the people of Israel, I extend condolences to the people of Norway, the Royal Family, and the Government of Norway. May his memory be a blessing.”

Netanyahu condemns Israeli ‘rioters’ clashing with Palestinians in Samaria

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday evening called out a handful of Israeli “rioters who are violating the law” and who had earlier in the day committed “criminal acts of violence” against Palestinians in central Samaria.

The incident occurred near the Palestinian Arab villages of Qusra and Jalud. 

Israeli security forces rushed to the scene following a report of Israelis hurling rocks at Palestinians and removed “dozens of rioters who had barricaded themselves in a Palestinian home.”

Netanyahu said the suspects are “causing a grave injustice to the law-abiding Jewish community, interfering with the IDF in carrying out its missions, and harming Israel’s standing in the world.”

The IDF struck and eliminated the terrorists Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, a Nukba company commander, and Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, a sniper in the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization.

The army said the two posed an immediate threat to Israeli forces in the area.

Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has again rejected the US-brokered Israel-Lebanon framework agreement, calling for its “downfall” and opposing its proposed pilot zones and verification mechanism.

“We will keep our heads high and we will not surrender,” Qassem said in a televised address.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) confirmed on Saturday that Yair Netanyahu, the oldest son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was urgently returned to the Jewish state from Miami due to a threat to his life.

In a statement published on Saturday evening, the Shin Bet said there had been “a significant threat to harm Yair Netanyahu.” In light of this, and following a security assessment, “a decision was made to urgently extract him along with his security team and return him to Israel,” the agency added.

US outlet Newsmax reported on Wednesday that intelligence agencies believed Iranian agents had been “on the ground” and conducting surveillance on Yair Netanyahu’s movements.

The Israeli Defense Ministry’s Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) unit on Sunday shared footage it said showed food parcels from the World Food Program and other organizations sitting uncollected in Gaza City.

Gaza residents reported that food is accumulating in shelters for displaced Palestinians and being sold at low prices in local markets, COGAT wrote on X.

US forces last night struck Iran for the first time since July, hitting missile launchers on Larak Island.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “The Iranian regime must be defeated. It’s time to finish this.”

US Central Command (CENTCOM) described last night’s strike on Larak Island as a “limited, precise action against IRGC minelaying forces posing an imminent threat in the Strait of Hormuz. In essence, Iran created the threat and the US military eliminated it to protect civilian mariners, commercial shipping, and the free flow of global commerce.”

Following the US strike on Larak Island in Iran, several ballistic missiles were reportedly intercepted over Jordan.
