Israeli forces struck a Hezbollah terrorist cell posing an “immediate threat” to troops in the in Southern Lebanon a short time ago.

Israel stands with those impacted by the shooting attack in Montreal’s heavily Jewish Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood, said Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli.

“The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism stands ready to assist, support, and stand alongside the community during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” Chikli wrote in a post on X.

“Shootings have become a common reality for Jewish communities in Canada over the past two years. As we have warned time and again, it is only a matter of time before there will be loss of innocent lives,” the minister tweeted.

“Stop with the condemnations and committees, and start with the action.”

The Israel Defense Forces over the weekend killed a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated the Jewish state on Oct. 7, 2023, and held hostages.

Sabai Zaher Abd al-Hamid Abu Hasna, a member of Hamas’s Nukhba Force, was slain in an airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip after planting explosive devices and advancing other terrorist attacks.

Abu Hasna took part in holding Israeli hostage Omer Shem Tov, who was taken by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival in southern Israel on Oct. 7 and spent 505 days in captivity before being released on Feb. 22, 2025.

Washington and Jerusalem may be arguing in public.

Behind the scenes, the story looks very different.

The cameras catch the tension.

Hezbollah (read: Iran) says Israel has broken the ceasefire.

Israeli and Lebanese officials are meeting in Washington under the auspices of the Trump administration at this time.

The IDF identified a cell of armed terrorists operating in close proximity to IDF soldiers in the Security Zone in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area in southern Lebanon.

Following the identification, the soldiers struck the terrorists north of the Security Zone in order to remove the threat.

The Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors to the United States meeting in Washington a short time ago.

Lebanon’s Christian leaders are saying the quiet part out loud:

Israel is not Lebanon’s problem.
Iran is.

If Washington lets Tehran fold Lebanon into a US-Iran deal, the message across the Middle East will be unmistakable: Iran pressured, and America conceded.

Hezbollah is not a Lebanese security policy.

It is an Iranian weapon parked inside a sovereign state.

And Lebanon cannot be free while Tehran’s militia decides when the next war begins.

The US Senate has passed a war powers resolution directing President Donald Trump to remove American military forces from the conflict with Iran.
