Sirens have been sounding almost non-stop in the Galilee Panhandle for the past hour. There has also been rocket fire from Lebanon at Nahariya, Acco and the northern Haifa suburbs.

Hezbollah is threatening to further extend missile fire to central Israel.

Israeli planning authorities have approved the advancement of more than 2,000 housing units in communities across Judea and Samaria.

The Supreme Planning Council of the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Civil Administration advanced the plans for 2,162 housing units as part of what Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described as a broader effort to strengthen Jerusalem’s hold on the biblical heartland.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Sunday called on world leaders to unite against Hezbollah, “an obstacle to peace,” in an address at the memorial ceremony for the fallen soldiers of the First Lebanon War.

Said Herzog:

“I say this here to all the nations of the world... Help us with decisive action. What is needed is maximum pressure on all of Hezbollah’s wings, all around the world: sanctions, designation as a terrorist organization, and, of course, determined military action which must come first and foremost from the Lebanese Armed Forces. That, and only that, is how we will achieve peace.”

Sirens sounded a short time ago in Safed and the areas north of the Sea of Galilee. Rockets from Lebanon were successfully intercepted.

Footage shows the Israeli military striking a Hezbollah rocket launcher within minutes of an overnight barrage targeting Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee.

Israel has warned the residents of Beirut's Dahieh neighborhood, a Hezbollah stronghold, to begin evacuating. The IDF will strike the area if Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel continue.

Iran, meanwhile, has threatened to attack Israel if it strikes in Beirut.

There often is no separation between civilian and terrorist in the Gaza Strip. A man who works as a doctor or journalist by day could be launching rockets or commanding terrorist gunmen by night.

That is the critical factor of this war often missed or deliberately concealed by the mainstream media.

This week, the IDF eliminated a senior Hamas commander in central Gaza. But you probably didn’t hear about that, because Jamal Abu Aoun also worked as a local doctor, and that’s the role the media will choose to focus on.

British Airways announced on Monday that it was further extending its suspension of flights to Israel until the fall due to ongoing regional tensions.

The British flag carrier said it will resume service to Tel Aviv on October 24. It had been due to restart service in August.

Israeli Knesset lawmakers early on Tuesday voted 106-0 in a first reading to advance a coalition bill to dissolve parliament and pave the way for early elections.

The bill currently stipulates that elections will be held between Sept. 8 and Oct. 20.

The bill must clear two more readings to pass into law.
