❗️Israel’s Knesset last night gave final approval to a law requiring either life imprisonment or the death penalty for Hamas “Nukhba” terrorists who took part in the Oct. 7, 2023 massacres in southern Israel.

The new law prevents these terrorists from ever being released as part of a future “exchange” and mandates that they be tried in a special military court to be established in Jerusalem.

Israeli forces eliminate a Hezbollah launch cell that attempted to transfer a rocket launcher on a truck after firing rockets toward IDF soldiers in Southern Lebanon.

The EU just sanctioned Israeli citizens and Jewish organizations in Judea and Samaria — in the same package as Hamas officials.

Placing Jewish community builders beside the architects and defenders of October 7 creates a grotesque false symmetry.

Israel is fighting the same Iranian-backed terror network that threatens the West.

And Europe’s response?

Punish Jews in their historic homeland and call it diplomacy.

The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has approved an extension of legislation allowing for the emergency call-up of IDF reservists.

Lawmakers authorized Defense Minister Israel Katz’s proposal to allow the IDF to call up up too 400,000 reservists under Section 8 of the Reserve Service Law, 2008, until May 31.

Europe says it is targeting “extremism.”

But in practice, Brussels has placed Jewish Israelis in Judea and Samaria in the same moral frame as Hamas terrorists.

That is the problem.

No one denies that violence by Jewish extremists exists. It does, and Israel must deal with it firmly.

But equating isolated Jewish violence with organized Palestinian terror is not justice. It is distortion.

The deeper issue is Europe’s view of Jewish life in the biblical heartland itself.

For Brussels, the Jew in Judea and Samaria is not a returnee.

He is an obstacle.

Israeli forces identified and struck multiple terrorists in the Gaza Strip on Monday, the military said.

The Israel Defense Forces said troops operating in northern Gaza spotted five terrorists engaged in suspicious activity, as well as another who was monitoring forces and posed an immediate threat.

In southern Gaza, troops in two separate incidents identified three individuals who had crossed the ceasefire-designated Yellow Line and approached Israeli forces.

Microsoft Israel CEO Alon Haimovitz is stepping down following an internal review of the local office’s work with Israel’s defense establishment.

Microsoft’s global management has transferred responsibility for the Israel branch to the France office for the duration of the probe.

Chief among the company’s concerns is that the Israel branch let Israeli security agencies use Microsoft cloud services to store surveillance-related data on Palestinians.

Turns out Saudi Arabia was attacking Iran alongside the US and Israel.

The Saudis reportedly hit several undisclosed targets in Iran at the end of March in retaliation for sustained Iranian missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia.

The United Arab Emirates also reportedly struck Iranian targets recently in response to Iranian aggression.

The ultra-Orthodox parties say Netanyahu and his coalition are no longer their partners, and elections should be held as early as possible, according to the Haredi newspaper Yated Neeman.

This is in response to Netanyahu informing the ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties that he does not have a majority to pass legislation that would largely preserve ultra-Orthodox exemption from military service.

❗️The ship tracking platform TankerTrackers.com reports: Iran has been unable to export any oil by sea for the past four weeks. No tankers have been loaded on Kharg Island since May 6th due to the oil leak discovered nearby.

The New York Times reports, citing US intelligence assessments, that Iran has restored operational access to 30 of the 33 missile launch sites along the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the assessments, Iran retains access to approximately 70% of its mobile missile launchers and about 70% of the missile arsenal that existed before the war.

Additionally, Tehran has restored access to approximately 90% of its underground storage and launch facilities across the country. These facilities are now considered "partially or fully operational."

The Trump admin is coming to the realization of what Israelis have known all along: Only the IDF is able and willing to disarm Hamas.

Months into Trump’s Gaza ceasefire, the process is largely stalled because of Hamas’s refusal to lay down its weapons.

International peacekeepers are on the ground, but insist they are a monitoring force, and are not there to enforce the terms of the truce.

That leaves the IDF to do the dirty work, a fact acknowledged this week by US Ambassador Mike Huckabee:

“Who’s going to actually do the disarming? I don’t know. It may end up that the only entity willing to do it will be the IDF.”
