The rector of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology said no disciplinary action will be taken against a professor to praised the Oct. 7 Hamas massacres in southern Israel.

Late last month, Professor Bassam Hussein told a public forum that the Oct. 7 atrocities carried out against Israelis were “the most beautiful thing that happened in our century.”

Rector Tor Grande told NRK that while Hussein’s views do not represent the university, his shameful remarks do fall within the framework of both university policy and Norwegian law regarding freedom of speech.

The IDF confirms the elimination of the commander of Hezbollah's elite "Radwan Force" in yesterday's strike in Beirut.

🔹️ American forces carried out airstrikes against Iranian launch sites and command centers overnight after three US Navy destroyers came under fire while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

🔹️ An oil facility on Qeshm Island was also reportedly hit in retaliation for this week’s Iranian attacks against the United Arab Emirates.

🔹️ American officials said that the ceasefire remains in effect and that the war has not resumed.

🔹️ Israel stresses that it did not participate in last night’s strikes on Iran.

Satellite images suggest Iran is dumping oil into the sea as its storage facilities reach maximum capacity under the US naval blockade.

At the same time, the United Arab Emirates reported that it was attacked by two ballistic missiles and three attack drones launched from Iran. Three people were reportedly wounded in the attack on the UAE.

Who does this land really belong to?

Israel’s claim to the land is ancient, biblical, and real. But Scripture also reminds us that possession is not absolute ownership.

“For the land is Mine,” says the Lord.

That does not weaken Israel’s connection to the land. It deepens it.

To live here is not only to defend borders, homes, and history. It is to remember that the land is entrusted to us — calling us to responsibility, faithfulness, humility, and covenant.

Israel must hold the land.

But Israel must also remember the God who gave it.

Israel’s strength is not only that it defends itself.

It is that it can still judge itself.

The assault on a nun in Jerusalem. The mocking of Christian symbols by Israeli soldiers in Lebanon. The spitting at priests in the Old City.

These incidents are disgraceful. They must be condemned, prosecuted, and never normalized.

But the difference matters: Israel does not celebrate this behavior. It investigates it. Punishes it. Debates it publicly.

That stands in stark contrast to how Israel’s Muslim neighbors, including the Palestinian Authority, handle persecution of local Christians.

To love Israel honestly is not to deny its ugly moments.

It is to confront them before they become something larger.
