These submunitions cause limited damage, and as long as everyone is in a bomb shelter, casualties are minimized, and in most cases nonexistent.

The visuals of these warheads separating high in the sky are more dramatic, and the separation of the submunitions makes the missile harder for Israel’s defense systems to intercept, but they cause more limited damage and far fewer casualties than traditional ballistic missile warheads.

For this reason, the number of buildings damaged and the casualty count in this war have been far lower than during the 12-Day War in June of last year.

❗Meanwhile, Turkey’s foreign minister ridiculously claimed that Israel is preparing to use the Hezbollah attacks as a pretext to carry out a "genocide" in Lebanon. This contrasts wildly with Israel’s repeated calls to the Lebanese population to evacuate areas about to be attacked by the Israeli military.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said the war was entering a decisive phase thanks to the overwhelming and relentless American and Israeli assault on the Iranian terrorist regime.

“We are entering the decisive stretch of the conflict: between the regime’s attempts to survive—while causing increasing suffering to the Iranian people—and surrender.”

Katz added that only the Iranian people can bring the conflict to an end “through determined struggle, until the fall of the terror regime and the salvation of Iran.”

Two elderly people in the central Israel city of Holon were listed as lightly injured.

Magen David Adom paramedics treated an 80-year-old man for minor glass shrapnel wounds and an 80-year-old woman for smoke inhalation. Several others were treated for shock at the scene, the organization said.

Israel to ease war restrictions for some regions

Israel’s Home Front Command has updated its guidelines for specific regions of the country, allowing more regular activity in those areas less prone to enemy missile fire.

The policy for the following regions will shift from “limited activity” to “partial activity”:

• The Arava
• Beit She’an Valley
• Dead Sea area
• "Gaza Envelope”
• Jordan Valley
• Judea
• Samaria
• Southern Negev
• Western Lachish region
• Western Negev

The less stringent guidelines permit educational activities, gatherings of up to 50 people outdoors and 100 people indoors, and regular work activities, provided a standard protected space can be reached within the required time for the area when air-raid warnings are received.

IDF chief hails “unprecedented and historic” work by US military

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir visited with American military commanders in Israel and hailed the work being done by US military forces in Iran as “unprecedented and historic.”

Zamir stressed that for Israel this is an “existential war,” making such cooperation with Israel’s closest ally essential not only to victory, but to Israel’s future security.

US President Donald Trump told American media that he’s hearing rumors Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is dead.

“I don't know if he's even alive. So far, nobody's been able to show him.”

Trump added that if the younger Khamenei is alive, “he should do something very smart for his country, and that's surrender.”

IDF troops on Saturday identified an armed terrorist in the Rafah area of southern Gaza. The terrorist opened fire at IDF troops, who responded with fire and eliminated the terrorist. No IDF injuries were reported.
