Military preparations are also being stepped up in Judea and Samaria to prevent terrorist elements there from being activated by their Iranian patrons.

Is this war any less biblical than the events marked by the holiday of Purim, when the Jews of the Persian Empire rose up to defend themselves against an existential threat?

The parallels are almost too numerous to count. Again a threat arises from within Persia. Again most of the Iranian people are opposed to it. Again the Jews rise up to eliminate that threat.

And, of course, all this is happening as we begin the Purim holiday in Israel.

IDF: The Israeli Air Force is currently conducting a broad strike on a number of military targets belonging to the Iranian regime in western Iran.

At this point we will stop reporting every time there is a siren in our area, as it is happening every 5-10 minutes.

The IDF reiterates that the public should avoid sharing the locations of any missiles or shrapnel that hit the ground, as this only aids the enemy.

The IDF and coalition forces are working to intercept all incoming threats.

“The aid that the President of the United States promised to the brave people of Iran has now arrived.
