America First meets Israel — and the math doesn’t say what the critics say

Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Thomas Massie and others frame US support for Israel as “Israel First”—a one-way drain on American resources. But the deeper you look, the more that narrative collapses.

The unglamorous reality: Much of the aid functions like a subsidy that cycles back into the US economy, tied to American weapons procurement and jobs. Strategically, Israel operates as an “unsinkable aircraft carrier”—a forward partner that delivers intelligence, battlefield-tested tech performance data, and regional pressure on Iran without a US troop footprint.

Then there’s the other layer many analysts avoid: For millions of American Christians, the alliance isn’t only realpolitik—it’s covenant logic.

In an America First world, the argument here is simple: support for Israel isn’t a contradiction. It’s a high-return investment—and, for many, a moral obligation.

Jerusalem slams Jordan for erasing “Israel”

The Jordanian parliament unanimously voted on Monday in favor of removing the word “Israel” from its records.

The move was initiated by Jordanian MP Hayel Ayash, who told the parliament in Amman that the name “Israel” elicits the idea of “enemy” for every Jordanian.

Jordan is officially at peace with Israel, but its members of parliament have rarely, if ever treated Israel as a friendly neighbor.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry responded:

“This decision runs counter to the spirit of the peace treaty which has been maintained for over thirty years. It must be denounced by all who strive to build a region of tolerance and understanding.”
