Opposition leader Yair Lapid after his meeting today with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

"The entire State of Israel is united against Iran.

"There are no disagreements between us about the importance of dealing with this threat.

"It is important that Tehran knows that the State of Israel stands united against the regime's terror."

Lapid is a bitter political opponent of Netanyahu. This current show of unity could very well signal that something big is about to happen.

Palestinians try to pull a fast one

The official logo of the new National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) was revealed yesterday, and it took Israel by surprise.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the original draft of the logo was entirely different.

Israel is opposed to the Palestinian Authority playing a role in the short-term governance of Gaza, so it seems a logo that suggested no PA involvement was originally presented, only to be swapped out at the last minute…with a logo that includes the official Palestinian Authority seal.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated on Monday:

“Israel will not accept the use of a Palestinian Authority symbol; the Palestinian Authority will have no part in the administration of Gaza.”

Anti-Jewish hate crimes up 182% in New York City in Mamdani’s first month as mayor

While gun violence in New York City is way down, the NYPD acknowledged that January 2026 was not a good time to be Jewish in the Big Apple. According to the police press release, antisemitic hate crimes were up 182% in the city in January 2026 compared to January 2025.

Overall, the NYPD hate crimes task force investigated 152% more incidents last month (58) compared to January 2025 (23), including 31 anti-Jewish hate crimes last month compared to 11 in January 2025.

‼️Alarming antisemitism in European schools

Some 78% of European teachers have seen students commit antisemitic acts, and 27.4% witnessed nine or more such incidents, according to a survey by the United Nations.

The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) surveyed more than 2,000 teachers in 23 European countries.

Some 61% of teachers cited observing Holocaust denial or distortion, and 44% said that they had seen the use of Nazi symbols.

❗️The trouble is that many teachers themselves seem to harbor antisemitic views.

Among teachers, 16% didn’t consider saying things like “Jews are wealthy” to be antisemitic, and 32% thought that those sorts of statements, which draw on longstanding antisemitic tropes, had “context-dependent” meanings.

A smaller number (13%) of teachers said that believing that “Jews control the global financial system” isn’t antisemitic, and 24% saw such a statement’s meaning as context-dependent.

Report: Mormon charities funneled millions to Islamist groups tied to Hamas

A new study reveals that charities affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have donated over $100 million to nonprofits linked with radical Islamist movements—including those tied to Hamas.

🔹 Globus Relief, a Salt Lake City-based Mormon charity, gave at least $119 million to 10 radical Islamist organizations.

🔹 Its top recipient: Islamic Relief, whose branches are linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and have cooperated with Hamas in Gaza.

🔹 LDS Charities, the Church’s official humanitarian arm, was also named in the report—but does not publicly disclose its financial records.

➡️ The study was released by the Middle East Forum and raises serious concerns about due diligence and unintended funding of extremist networks through charitable fronts.

Following the retirement of Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s next Arabic-language spokesperson will be his deputy, Maj. Ella Waweya.

Maj. Waweya is well known in Israel for becoming the first Arab Muslim woman to achieve the rank of major.

Prior to that, she became a household name following the release of a series of video clips in which she explained why Israeli Arabs should join, or at least support the IDF. At the time she was a captain, and the monicker “Captain Ella” stuck and is still used today, despite her promotion.
